Madi's POV:
I was so confused. I honestly had no idea why my mom would ever shoot me. Especially with her other daughter and grandkids in the room.

"I don't know why she shot you. Y'all were arguing and then you turn your back and boom."

"The media doesn't know about this right?"

"Madi, this is why I love you."

"Because of the media knowing?"

"No, no. Babe. Because you have tons of other things to be worrying about, but your concern is that the media doesn't find out so that I don't get hate. Also so rumor don't get spread."

"Love you too. The media doesn't know, right?"

"They know your in the hospital but they don't know why. And they're not gonna know."

"Your amazing."

"I get that sometimes." Austin said smirking.

"Damn I hate being in the hospital. This bed, and this gown."

"Couple more days, couple more days."

Then the doctor came in.

"Madison, we need to check the wound and run some tests. If your doing alright then we can get you out if here by tomorrow afternoon at the earliest."

"Mr.Mahone, I know you two are married but I think it would be best if you stepped out."

"Yes sir."

6 months later

Austin's POV:

Madi's birthday is coming up, in four days. For her birthday present is I'm sourcing her by dedicating a concert in her hometown to her. I am also giving her a diamond necklace.

"Madi, I have a concert in New York coming up. I figured sense you're from New York we should bring the kids. Possibly stop by and visit Amy."

"Okay, sure. When do we leave?"

"Tomorrow morning. I'm already packed you go back while I pack Carter's. You can pack Mari's because I don't know which pair of leggings so with which pair of socks according to her."

Madi laughed. "Okay babe. I got it covered, but how long will we be in New York.

"About a week and a half or so."

"Okay babe."

Madi's POV:

I went and grabbed my suit case. It was August so sort of cold, sort of warm. So I just packed a little bit of both. Then I packed Mari's clothes.

"Mommy where are we going?"

"New York."

"So I'll get to see my brother."

"Sweetie, Cayden is your cousin. He is Aunt Amy's son."

"Then why did he come out of your tummy?"

Shit, what am I gonna say now.

"Aunt Amy adopted him, so he is Amy's son know."

"Why?"

"Because Aunt Amy is my mommy, but Grandma adopted me. Aunt Amy never had anymore kids. So I decided that she can adopt Cayden."

"Mommy I don't understand."

"You will whenever you are older sweetie, know get some sleep. We're leaving for New York very very early tomorrow morning."

"Goodnight mommy. I love you!"

"I love you too baby. Goodnight."

Next Morning...

I woke up in Austin's arms. I woke up him up. We're lucky Carter is a good baby who sleeps all night most of the time.

"Well good morning to you too babe," he said in his morning voice.

I don't care how long I've known him or that were married. His morning voice still makes me fall head over heels to this day.

"Don't we have to get going for our flight?"

"We're taking the private jet so we can leave whenever."

"Thank God. I freakin hate public airline."

"Exactly why I decided we take the private jet. Consider it a three day early birthday present for baby."

"Aww, Austin your amazing. I love you so much."

"I love you so much more though."
