Kairi and Mattia were making their way to school.
They had decided to walk.
It just felt right at the time.
Kairi couldn't help but shake violently.
He was scared out of his mind.
Real school, real people... he hadn't experience real interactions or schooling outside of his homeschool in-.... years.
Yes.
He wanted to go- but it was just too difficult.
Kairi tried to continue walking next to Mattia yet stopped.
He couldn't move.
He couldn't think.
He couldn't breathe.
Kairi was frozen.
He was hyperventilating silently, shaking in his feet, and staring at the ground.
He didn't even know what was happening anymore.
Mattia stops and turns around, seeing his "brother" in this state.
Mattia felt like he was the blame.
In a way- he could have prevented this-..he thought that at least.
Mattia- "Kai.."
Kairi wouldn't say anything.
Mattia's voice sounded like a blurring mumble to him.
Mattia- "Kairi!!" He says this louder, causing Kairi to jump.
Kairi- "Y-..yes..?" He questioned this with a small voice.
Kairi felt so small at the moment.
Mattia- "Please come with me bubba- I mean-.. Kai. I'm never going to leave your side today. Don't think I will. Come with me Kairi."
Kairi felt his face flush with red tint in the cheeks.
Kairi- "Sorry- I mean-... o-okay." He said this quietly.
He felt weird.
A feeling in his chest that wasn't there a few minutes ago.
Butterflies?
No.
He shouldn't think of his step brother like that.
Mattia grabs Kairi's hand and continues leading him towards the school property.
Kairi was silent for a few moments.
He couldn't stop thinking about Mattia's large hands.
The way they fit perfectly with his smaller ones.
How he rubbed small circles with his thumb on Kairi's inner palm.
Their so warm.
He could feel his veins while holding on.
When Mattia heard Kairi's heart beat go quicker, he would squeeze his hand tighter.
Kairi liked that.
Nevertheless he shook the thoughts of viol actions away.
Mattia wasn't interested in Kairi or- at least that's what Kairi thought.
Kairi- "So-... "bubba"?.." He questioned.
The taller boy sighed.
Mattia- "I use to call my-.... girlfriend that but it was years ago. It doesn't matter now-..!!Forget it.."
Kairi- "I like it."
Mattia was speechless.
Kairi- "It's cute. You don't have to stop calling me that bud." He said this sentence with a small smile, it was genuine.
Mattia made him feel in such a euphoric mood.
Odd right?...
Mattia- "Well.. I guess those can be our nicknames for each other. No weird shit!.." He laughs at the end of his statement.
Kairi giggles along with him.
A few minutes later the boys were at the school.
Kairi's breath hitched.
Kairi- "Woah." He was speechless so this is all that came out of his mouth.
Kairi looks at the bigger sized school.
The only real school he had seen was in television shows.
Yes- he's been to school but that was when he was much smaller.
Mattia- "I'm not going to let go of your hand- okay? Even if people stare, ignore it. I'm still not gonna let go."
Kairi nods and lets out a small "okay bud."
Mattia leads Kairi inside the main building.
All the boys got were dirty or intense looks while walking down the hall.
Mattia didn't care.
He didn't let go.
Just like he said.
The taller boy would even hold on tighter if Kairi began to shake even in the slightest bit.
Mattia then enters the office.
Mattia- "We're going to get your schedule."
Kairi looks up at the tall boy and nods his head.
Mattia could've died right there.
He was too adorable for Mattia to handle, but he shakes his head, and begins talking to the office worker.
After a few moments they got Kairi's class schedule.
Mattia says a small "thank you" and exits to room.
Mattia- "Okay. Look right here Kairi." He said this softly while pointing to a certain spot on the paper.

8𝒕𝒉- 𝑾𝒓𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈

Mattia- "We have-... all classes together actually- except, writing and french.. sorry bubba." He pouts at the end of this statement.
Kairi- "Ah-.. well- it's okay bud.."
Mattia- "Lets go find your locker KaiKai."
Mattia then lead Kairi to a locker with the number "156" on it.
It was about 3 minutes later.
Kairi got the basics of his locker and schoolwork structure.
Kairi- "Okay-.. this one right?.." He said this as a question.
Kairi points to yellow-ish binder that he put on a shelf.
Mattia- "Yeah. You got it right." He smiles with this sentence.
Kairi giggles.
Mattia then grabs Kairi's hand again.
Mattia- "Lets go see the boys- yeah?" He says the joyfully, trying to make Kairi as happy as he can.
Kairi- "Okay.." He says this so only Mattia could hear.
But- before they could leave-..
Mattia leans down and kisses Kairi's forehead.
Kairi's face turned scarlet red.
Kairi- "W-wha?.. why did you do that?.. we're in public!.." He says this in a shocked tone.
People began staring at the two.
Some could be heard making fangirl squeals in the background.
Mattia- "Why not? I can't give my little bro a kith?" He says this in a sort of baby voice, making a "🥺" face
Kairi- "First off, I'm older then you. Secondly- no.. people will look at us strangely." He let's out a laugh in between this sentence.
Mattia- "So? I don't give a fuck Kai. I'll do whatever I want with you, even in public." He said this sternly yet soft.
It was almost intimidating.
Kairi's face darkened.
Did Mattia mean more to this sentence than what it seemed?
Kairi would never know.
