techno's pov

i frowned at harvey. "was he joking? he seemed mad at you."

dream stared at me blankly. "you? i thought we were doing this as a team. just yesterday you were raging about how we don't have a plan yet and now you want to leave it? we've already stabbed him!"

"dream's right. what's going on? why have you changed your mind? "

" i dunno. i just.. feel bad now. " i narrowed my eyes at tapl.

" that poor kid's softened you up. no wonder you're being so quiet. " dream frowned and shook his head at me.

"i haven't been softened! i just changed my mind. let's do something else , make a new plan." i went to reach for the map.

tapl grabbed it. " hell no! i was working on this until 1 last night while you and "skeppy" were away pissing or something in the forest! we're doing it , whether you're with us or not. now dream's going to have to be our plan b, good job techno."
"wait what"
"but where the hell would he go if he's rogue? does he have relations with the kingdom? he could tell them. we're dead meat. " i muttered.

dream. blinked.
" he had the prince's symbol on the back of his jacket. is he in the pink tier? "

"no way , you really think that they'd let THEM wear the symbol that represents their kingdom when the king dies?"

tapl and dream talked back and forth as i stared at the ground in silence.

" there's no way he's the prince! he's too dumb." i spun around to stare at them. they went quiet.
mega's gaze turned towards me. i saw a distressed look in his eyes.

"mega? do you have something to add to this conversation?"
he shook his head quickly.
"don't lie. we know you've been in contact with him before all of this. who the hell is he and where is he going?" dream crossed his arms quite firmly.

mega stared at me. his mask moved as if he had opened his mouth to say something , but it immediately slammed shut.
"i knew him when i worked in the kingdom. at the bakery. when i was 12 or 13. i was in the grey tier. he was in the blue tier. he was going to promote me to pink tier , and then my mom and me ran away. that's it."

"is skeppy in the blue tier? is he royalty? is that why he had the symbol on his jacket?" i placed my hands on his shoulders.

he sunk lower into his jacket and mumbled. "yes."
"then we're basically plotting to kill him? " tapl frowned.
"yep!" i said sarcastically and shook my head. "let's just go stab his dad and get this over with." i exhaled and walked nervously outside.
"wait , aren't we going to use my plot?"
"your plan was a scam , harvey. we're killing his dad and then leaving."
"oh ok"
