"We're standing on the same dust, the same earth, the same universe... But why can't we ever be together?"
It's been 21 years, 6 months and 5 days ago since Isaac left that house. And he never looked back ever again...
A guy in his late 20's is lying on a bed that's too large for a single person. He is staring blankly into the ceiling thinking of something he cannot put his fingers on. The sunlight is slowly peeking into his room illuminating the four corners little by little. The room is spacious, minimalistic and organized, symmetrical and well-planned. Everything is in black, white and grey except for two giant paintings hanging over his bed. To the right, a young man in a weird colorful modern suit is seemingly reaching out for the nude woman on the painting to the left. The young lady is holding an eaten apple with her long black hair covering her breasts. The two paintings seem to be connected yet they are two separate entities not knowing of each other's presence painted by two different painters from different periods.
Isaac's mind is floating into the sea of the unknown. He is used to this kind of morning—he usually spaces out and for a minute or two he is out there somewhere into the vast expanse of the universe. Suddenly, he is being disturbed by loud noises in the kitchen. He's back in his world. Then a woman comes out carrying an omelet, bacon, toasted bread and steaming coffee on a platter. She's dressed in his shirt which is oversize for her but it looks sexy on her and underneath it there is nothing. She has light make up which should look "I woke up like this". She walks towards him as if strutting in a catwalk. You can tell she really wants to impress him. Isaac stares at her, he grunted. Ugh! I almost totally forgot. I don't usually bring people in my house for safety reasons but here she is, he thought.
"How's your sleep, Zach? I made this for you." Isaac's about to talk but he forgot the girl's name. "Shar... Sha.."
"Charlotte, baby", then she positioned herself in front of Isaac exposing her beautiful long legs. "Never thought na madaling makalimot ang isang matalinong tulad mo? Don't tell me you forgot what happened last night." She has that flirty look in her eyes to seduce the man. She puts her face closer to him and tries to plant a kiss. Before her lips land on his, he moves away and the woman's face lands on the wall instead.
