My heart was beating so fast I felt like I might explode. I started breathing hard. Like really hard. My eyes were open really big. Austin just stared at me smiling like he was amused. That's when I felt something forming in my eyes. Tears? No I'm not crying in front of this person. Please. No.
"It's just some little creature. Let's just keep going." He stated and started walking again. I followed him slowly my steps still a bit shaky. Are there more of those things? Can they hurt us? Why can't I see them? Why? My mind was in a million places at once. I was still in shock a bit about being in this place. Then BAM little creepy crawlies. I felt that lump in my throat and the tears popped up again.
"Hey I'm not sure if it works with creatures, but you know what you do when a creepy thing comes out in front of you?" He said looking back at me.
"No what?" I said forcing a smile onto my face. He needed to believe I was fine.
"You take out your mace and tell them to kindly fuck off." He said smiling a bit. I just rolled my eyes and did a fake laugh. Hopefully he doesn't notice how scared I still am.
"Hey I got a chuckle, that's two points for Slytherin. Let's keep walking Hufflepuff." He said looking back at me again.
"Okay just hope I don't see them again." I half whispered half spoke to Austin. I was afraid if I actually spoke I would bust out crying. Plus I would be crying over some dumb little animal. I probably look so stupid right now. God I'm such an idiot. I wanted to scream again and fall.
"You probably will, but it's okay to cry. Especially in front of a crybaby like me in this dark ass cave heading towards no where. Seems pretty normal to me." He said obviously hearing what I had said. I was still terrified and still felt like falling. The darkness had seemed to become heavier and was weighing me down again. So this time I actually fell. My shaky state and the sudden rush of weight just made me collapse. So I fell and I didn't want to get up or move.
"Hey you okay?" Austin asked hearing me fall. He stared at me looking almost a bit concerned. I took a deep breath and forced myself to stand. I used a lot of strength to do that.
"Yeah just tripped over myself that's all." I said my voice sounding a bit stronger this time. It seemed like I was gaining control of myself again. That's nice. I like control. It calms me.
"Hey let's sit down." Austin said. So we sat. We sat under in a spot with a low ceiling. I was calming down a bit finally.
"Here should be fine. Let's talk about..." But I cut him off.
"Um I don't know." I said sitting down on the cold rocky floor. He chuckled a little bit.
"I was going to suggest your story. So? What is it?" He asked me. Man my story. Let me think.
"I told you earlier I don't remember much more than my name." I said. That was all I could think of to say. He laughed again.
"I'm talking about your real story. Not information. Iike interests, hobbies, stuff like that." He said. Man this might take a while.
"Alright then. " I started "this ones gonna be long."
