Subaru died more and more and suffered more 'till he was unable to fight, until his mind broke.

He died a hundred times already.

"Betelguese!!" a name Subaru will never forget, "I'll fucking kill you!! I'll never forgive you, you goddamn psychopath!" Subaru screamed as he was tied in chains with bloodshot eyes, his face was beaten up and all he could think of was the name Betelguese while seeing Rem die infront of him

Subaru was Murdered, Gutted, Betrayed, Tortured, Humiliated and killed over and over and over again. Something inside him snapped.

He died another hundred times

Subaru was traumatized. Seeing as Betelguese kills Emilia, Rem, Ram and the villagers again and again, he could not taken it anymore. He wanted to give up, he really did, he died countless deaths afterall.

But even as he couldn't take it anymore, he tried not to give up.

Emilia was the only thing keeping him sane.

After Subaru finally defeated Betelguese, he wanted confessed to Emilia. But His pain doesn't end there, it keeps going on even now.

After knowing everything, Emilia wanted to go back to the carriage where Subaru was but after she left Echidna's void, she saw someone sitting and chatting with Echidna.

"ehhhh?? What do you mean you don't want to know anything? I am the Witch of Greed!! I possess knowledge about the whole universe yet you don't want to ask anything at all!?" Echidna shouted in anger, full of disbelief. "are you serious?" she thought.

"I mean all I really came here for is Emilia. She is
safe right? You don't seem that much evil to me after all." Subaru explained and then brags about how kind-looking The Witch of Greeds looks to him. "If she wanted to kill us, she had already done it" was what he thought.

Emilia ran as fast as she can towards Subaru.

As Subaru turns around and stands up saying "Ohh Emili--"

Emilia hugs Subaru as tight as she can.

Subaru was panicking, "Eh? Uhh..?" he said as he was in shock.

"What happened..? Did somebody hurt you?!" Subaru asks, "Oi Echidna! I thought you said Emilia is safe!" he yelled at Echidna.

"She is! Why would I lie?" Echidna yelled while pouting. She got annoyed, no one believed her.

"You were suffering all this time." Emilia whispered, "I sorry I could not have helped you.."

"huh? what are you talking about? I don't get what you mean." Subaru said as he chuckled.

"It's okay Subaru, I already know about the curse," Emilia explained.

"What are you talking about? what curse? What are you saying? Geez Emilia, I was worried for nothin--"Subaru quickly said but he didn't realize that he was already crying and his voice was already shaking, "huh?that's weird, why am I crying?" he wondered.

Subaru suddenly covered his face with both palm of his hands.

Emilia had then realized. She went and hugged him again even as he hides his face.

"I'll never let you go alone again," She said. "I promise I'll protect you this time because I love you Subaru, I always had, I just never realized."

Subaru who was covering his face suddenly felt weak and fell on his knees

She finally knew the truth, he inexplicably thought.

All the pain, the suffering that I had experience and I thought I could never tell anyone about the curse.

"I tried my best, I really did," He uttered.

"I know." Emilia whispered.

"It hurts, it fucking hurts so much." He wept, "I just wanted to save them."

He cried his lungs out.

"I know." Emilia whispered again as she hugs Subaru and pats his head, "It's alright, I'll never leave you no matter what."
