Livin' in LA now
Hard without you, I'm—
Missin' you miles away

Getting drunk was never ever a smart idea. Jungkook knew this but he still found himself drinking shot after shot as they passed him by on various silver trays.

But what else can he do when he found his boyfriend of five years hanging around the very person Jungkook despised the most in the world. His ex. For the seventh time that month.

He remembers the image of Taehyung and her sitting at the table in the quaint coffee shop. It all seemed innocent, well that was until she grazed her fingers over Taehyung's and then claimed his hand as if it was hers. Maybe once upon a time, but it wasn't hers anymore. It was supposed to be Jungkook's, still is considering that Taehyung is still his boyfriend.

He also recalls how they walked around the park, smiles spread across both their faces as carried on with their day with no care in the world. He watched as the iced latte in Taehyung's hand was snatched by his boyfriend's ex girlfriend, and how she mindlessly took a sip from the same straw Taehyung had been drinking from. An indirect kiss?

But no, he came here to forget, not to remind himself of why he's drinking in the first place. But that's easier said than done, especially when Taehyung walks through the front entrance of the busy bar. His hair and clothes disheveled, eyebrows knitted together and distress clear in his eyes.

He didn't mean to lock his gaze on the man, but who could not give their attention to Taehyung when he practically demands it as soon as he walks into a room. He watched as the male hurriedly looked around, checking his phone screen every now and then before looking up and resuming his search.

It didn't take too long for their eyes to meet from across the room. Jungkook's breath hitched, and in his drunken state he picked up the empty shot glass in front of him and put it in front of his face. There's no way Taehyung would see him anymore.

Taehyung couldn't help the flood of emotions that consumed his senses when he finally saw Jungkook. One's of joy, relief, confusion, slight irritation and even anger, but mainly content at seeing the love of his life safe and sound. Even if he is drunk of his ass and hiding behind a shot glass.

Jungkook watched as the male started walking towards him. His eyes grew large and he quickly began shifting his gaze anywhere that wouldn't catch Taehyung's. But alas, he had found him and was now standing right next to him.

Jungkook moved the shot glass from in front of his face to the side that was visible to Taehyung, moving his head in the opposite direction so that he doesn't have to look into those beautifully deceiving eyes.

Taehyung couldn't help but laugh slightly at the actions of his boyfriend, the gestures undoubtedly cooling his rage. He figured this could go on all night and thought it'd be best to get home and into their bed, just the two of them.

"Baby, you know I can see you right?" Jungkook didn't acknowledge Taehyung and shifted around in his seat, showing more of his back to the other.

Taehyung sighed at his drunken actions and gently placed his hand on Jungkook's back. "Kookie, what's wrong my love?" He softly rubbed circles on Jungkook's back, hoping it would coax him into saying something.

"Who's Kookie? What's a Kookie? There's no Kookie here." Jungkook changed his pitch in voice, committing fully to his new found character.

Taehyung playfully rolled his eyes at whatever game Jungkook was playing. A drink Jungkook was a rather weird one. But a part of him couldn't help but celebrate the tiny victory of hearing Jungkook actually speak to him, which was probably the first time in what felt like weeks.
