Chapter 7

Lance had a fairly rough day, that was true. But he didn't mean to make their night worse.. When Keith left them alone Lance frowned a little but he held it together, he'd be alone with Keith soon so he could bare it a little longer.

"Lance I really dont know you're problem is with me, we used to be so very close.. Even before we dated wed called and text almost every night. Now you never even text back.. And I just paid for dinner after all, isn't there.. Some kind of reward I get for good behavior~" Lance turned to her speaking softly so hopefully his family wouldn't hear.

"Oh, that's cause your number id blocked.. Look, I'll try to be.. Nicer. But I've just been having a hard time lately alright? Something happened at work a few days ago that still freaks me out, and I'm with Keith now so I cant constantly give you attention when you're already being fawned over by my family. I dont know why you think we can be that close after what happened.. You said it yourself remember, that I wasnt worth your time. That I wasnt worth anything.. That youd rather I just not exist at all right? Now, if you'll excuse me."

Lance waved goodbye to his family forcing a smile before heading out and looking for Keith, he looked like he was just getting off the phone, good timing. "Hey there hot stuff~" He said with a soft smile, even though he looked a little tired, maybe even hurt, he still smiled for Keith.

"So am I gonna get to see where you live now?" He rested his head on Keith's shoulder looking up at him. "Hey.. I'm... Im sorry about today, I didnt mean to drag you into anything or make you uncomfy.. And I wont try to justify it either.. I know I can be... Hard, to deal with..." Lance got quiet. The way he'd been treated before really messed with him and his self esteem.

"Don't worry about it, I know how hard is it to deal with a difficult ex." Keith wrapped his arms around Lance's waist, he didn't quite understand his and Allura's past relationship but he honestly didn't need too... What's important was being there for Lance and being the best boyfriend that he could be. Lance obviously still had issues with her but hed take Lances side no matter what.

"I know we haven't known each other for long, but I'll always be here for you." He said softly. He knew that he told Lance that before but he wanted to re-confirm it. Not too long after, the two got on Keith's bike and took some detours to get a nice view of the town before arriving at Keith's place.

Keith rented a small one bedroom apartment. The walls were white as they wernt painted yet. The furniture had some rips and holes in it, Thanks to his dog when he was just a puppy. And a big flat screen TV on an looking trunk.

Lance smiled a bit more, he was so glad that Keith was as supporting as and understanding as he was.

After getting to Keith's place Lance looked around. Not straying too far from Keith's side. It wasnt too great but he knew it wasnt easy to find a good place for cheap around here. He wasnt going to judge anyway. Lance took a seat on his couch, "You have a dog right? I cant wait to meet him, and then smother him with affection haha" He leaned back a little, patting the seat beside him for Keith to sit.

"Hey.." Lance started. "I know you dont really care about my past, and I'm really glad for it. But if you ever want to ask me something, I'll be as honest as I can. I know things might look a little weird without context, but I really like you yknow.. So, I dont want to make you feel like you cant ask me about it.." He sighed softly but shook the negitve thoughts from his head, "Not that any if it matters." He took out his phone checking it a last time before shutting it off, he didnt want to be bothered while at Keith's so he figured that was the best thing to do.

Keith appreciated the honesty and absolutely loved how his partner was just so open. He also knew that his new boyfriend just had a very hard and stressful day with his family, and was trying to please everyone. "I was thinking that I could help you relax and get your mind off of things for a while actually. Past is past, and it doesnt intrest me much." Keith was going to surprise Lance with a hot bath since he had one of those old style tubs that was nice and deep. "Usually Kosmo is right at the door when I walked but Shiro took him for a few hours so he might be knocked out somewhere." He mentioned before taking a sneak peek in his room and there he was, resting on his side of the bed. Lance peeked into the room and gasped softly upon seeing the animal.
