The news shook the underworld, a boss of the underworld has been eliminated and now they are after whoever killed him and his son. Marosaki is the top supplier of drugs and prostitutes in Japan and when people knew they suddenly died, the beasts got mad. Its like someone took away their desserts forever and we know how men love it. Tenshiko wasn't fazed at all, whoever was coming for her head better be ready because she isn't an easy opponent.
No one knew. The ninja was the only one living after that night and she has no plans on telling anyone, not even her uncle. But the mysterious person who watched the whole mess unfold wanted the ninja to be in great pain before revealing to the world what happened. This person was planning to hit Tenshiko where it will hurt most and God forbid she dies trying to make the right decision.
Three days turned into three weeks of staying somewhere in Tokyo, accepting contract killing deals for living. Tenshiko lived in an expensive loft after ending seven contracts in a day, lets say her service fee went up after clients knew her surname. There were ads around the city about NCT127's latest comeback and she knew the boys were in the middle of promotion at that time. Every time she finished, she goes to her apartment and ponders what souls do after she take it away from bodies.
The narcotics was crumbling and it was all over the newspapers. Akio, Iijima, Marosaki, big names getting wiped out of existence and new ones arise. The syndicate is all in entropy and it occurs as the cause watch in the dark. They weren't ready for what Tenshiko will bring in the next part of her play for the next days.
Tenshiko's POV
If you're wondering why I was doing all this, then open your ears. I hated how a lot of people turned away from my family, how our neighbors shut their doors when we asked for help, how the news formed an unlikable image of my uncle, how my cousins were bullied at school for being the children of a "scammer", how my other relatives were discriminated, for how everyone blamed us on something we didn't do. It had been hard for me to live my life normally and if people start retracting, I'll take nothing. It was Tenshei's fault, not the whole Jinichi family. The thought of my father enrages me, he had the audacity to die without any problem while the rest of us suffer.
I took off my pyjamas and changed into my shinobi fit, preparing for the nineteenth contract for the week at midnight. The old man had drinks with his friends and coming out of the bar, barely standing straight. When he made his turn to pee somewhere between buildings, I walked behind and scan the area for cctv cameras. His head was leaning on the wall for support and as fast as I could, I bore my katana into his head. The job might seem easy but trying to leave no fingerprints or whatsoever on the body or in the area is difficult.
" According to the report of the National Police Agency, twenty of the most famous businessmen are reported to have been killed for the past weeks. The authorities speculated that an anonymous syndicate have been "eradicating competition" through an unknown mafia. " a leer grew on my face while watching the news in the morning, this is getting recognition and I hope the people whom I closed the deals with handle it before my cover gets blown.
Third Person POV
Haechan tried to put a smile on his face as a mask of what he was truly feeling. For three weeks, he had texted and called Tenshiko dozens of times but he would always end up disappointed. Mark and Johnny were the first ones to notice this and no matter how hard they convinced him to stop, he just won't budge. During the promotions, he becomes a ray of sunshine on cam but turns into a ball of sadness off cam. The ninja really grew on him and overseeing the constrain without her was like taking a bath without water.
Tenshiko had been swamped by her life in Tokyo that she quite forgot the reason why she was doing all this. Living a day with the objective to kill was slowly molding her to become numb, cold and hold no emotions. Wake up in the middle of the night, sharpen blades, change clothes, roam the city to find target, kill, go back to the loft, send the client confirmation, take a bath, eat, sleep during the day then repeat. It was a cycle and her diabolical self had indulged while it lasted. After her last target exhaled a last breath, she stabbed the corpse multiple times and gauged his eyes out then wrapped it in a garbage bag to throw it in Sumida river.
" His body is somewhere in Sumida, make sure to deposit your payment within an hour or I'll come for you. Destroy the burner phone too, got that? "
" Sure. Aren't you gonna tell your name before we finish the deal? "
" Fuck off, hag, I go with Kesseki as long as I'm taking lives. " I ended the call and smashed the phone into pieces, can't let myself get caught. After the money was deposited, I went to take a shower and lie on the comfort of the soft mattress when something vibrated from under the foam. Lifting it up, I saw my old phone. " How could I forget this was here. Why did I even put it here? " picking it up, there were a lot of missed calls and the notification was booming.
Come back.
One message said and right there, I remembered who I was and for whom this was. Looking around the loft, I reminisced how I lost myself over my drive for revenge and I regret it so much. The fact that I hadn't communicated with my friends in Seoul drowned me in anguish, why did I forget about them? Packing my things, I decided to leave in the afternoon. Am I really doing this?
