"Get your ass in the car; we don't have all day!" I yelled from my window. Mateo was taking a ridiculous amount of time getting ready. And I'm the girl.
"Chill, Kat. We're just going shopping," He rolled his eyes.
"We're not just going shopping. We have an appointment with Catherine, and she's going to fit you for all of your dance needs," I said. "And then after that, we're going to the mall to buy you some new outfits."
"Oh, gosh."
I pull in front of Capezio's and practically dragged Mateo in with me. I was greeted with a massive hug from Catherine.
"Katrina! How nice to see you! I assume this is Mateo?" She asked.
"Indeed. Make sure to fit Mateo with the best attire you have. Don't hesitate about anything." I smiled.
"We'll get right to it," Catherine said as she took Mateo by the arm and started to measure him up and down.
"I'll be waiting," I waved at him before sitting down on one of the soft benches. I scrolled through my phone for a while until Mateo and Catherine were done.
"Can I talk to you for a minute?" Mateo didn't give me time to answer before he dragged me off to the side.
"This is so much. And it's probably so expensive. You don't have to do this if you don't want to," He said.
I sighed, "I want to. We already had this conversation."
I walked to the counter, where Catherine was waiting.
"Now, I got him a half dozen regular class tights, two black, white, and nude ones. There are another half dozen of tank tops for him. He has two pairs of ballet slippers that should last around a month based on performance intensity."
"Thank you, here," I handed her my credit card before she even told me the price. Whatever it was, it would never pass the amount I spend on dancewear.
"It was very nice seeing you, Katrina. See you soon!" She waved. We both walked out the door, and I stuffed the bag into the backseat.
"Katrina, you don't have to do this. Getting me all that stuff dor dance is good enough. I'm okay with my current outfits," Mateo said as he climbed in beside me.
"Mateo, would you please shut up and let me do this for you. I don't want you walking around with holes in your clothes. Besides, they are too small for you. I can practically see through your shirt," I said.
"But you like what you see, don't you," He smirked.
"By now, your ego is the size of the sun," I rolled my eyes. I drive to the mall and stop in front of Luisaviaroma.
"Oh, no. We are not going in there. I don't want you to spend $300 on a pair of pants. Let's just go to Aeropostale or something," He said.
"Absolutely not. Let's go," I said, dragging him into the store.
"How about this?" I held up a black shirt for him.
"How about I pick and you pay?" He laughed.
"Fine, get whatever you want. Don't even look at the price tags," I said. He nodded and walked off. I trailed behind him, making sure he wasn't looking at the price. I got bored and walked to the women's section. My eyes immediately landed on a white denim skirt, and I quickly went to grab it. The skirt led me to a cute sweater, which led me to a crop top. I stopped myself after grabbing a few dresses and headed back to the men's section.
I saw Mateo talking to one of the workers, and she was flirting with him big time. Mateo smiled and laughed before the woman brushed her hand on Mateo's arm. I could see her face turning pink even from here.
