"Lady Reonharldt, breakfast is ready."

"Lady Reonharldt?" you groan, twisting in your bed "I'm up, Klaus.. Thank you." Sitting up your bed, you yawn, stretching your arms. You've asked the reliable noble to wake you up in case you have your tardy times. Or mornings where your body decides to wake up late.

It depends when William has extra work and has to stay up late or when William forgot to wake you up. In this occasion, it was both. That relative of yours had to stay up until dawn and forgot to wake you up.

Getting ready was obviously a routine, you took your regular bath, dressed up, and groomed your hair then ran towards the common room. You arrive, already late for breakfast.

"Unusual for you to be late," the Captain says, taking a sip of his morning tea. "Why, I wonder whoose fault is that?" you smile, slightly annoyed.

"I do apologize Lady Reonharldt, I should've called you earlier," Klaus says, pushing up his glasses "Please, let me accompany you to breakfast."

"No it's-"

"That's right," Vangeance stands up, "Tell your squad to accompany Lady Reonharldt to breakfast every morning."

"But that really isn't-"

"Yes! Of course Sir Vangeance!" beamed the noble who ran towards the hallway, probably to call his two closest comrades.

You look at the sly Captain in shock, a mixture of confusion in your eyes. "What was that even for?" you ask but William just shrugs, "Whatever do you mean?" Trying to figure what's running in his head, you furrow your brows at him.

Ever since the Reonharldt family was assasinated years ago, leaving no man or heir alive. Some noble families, including William's, took interest in the few Reonharldt survivors and decided to take them in their family.

You were familiar with the face under that mask. Of course you did, you grew up with him despite being years apart. Although unclear of what's your relation, you saw him as your older brother. He was there for you and you trusted him, but there are times when you aren't clear with what goes on with his thoughts.

"Now, don't look at me like that," the Captain spoke, "I actually have something to tell you," and your eyes lightened up in curiosity. "Did Julius say something about discovering something together?" You question, looking at your brother figure who let out a chuckle, "Mind you, he's still the Wizard King."

"He asked me to call him that in the first place!" You and the Wizard King met through magic, the both of you shared a similar interest in new things and it's hidden abilities.

"No, nothing about discovering something with him," Vangeance replied, making you puff your cheeks in disappointment "But he did propose something else."

Your eyes widen in surprise and your heart raced, "(Name), what do you say about being a Magic Knight?" You blinked, several times to see if the other was serious, and he was.

"M-Me? Like right now?" you stutter, unsure of everything "Shouldn't I be taking an exam? Wasn't the exam a few days ago?" the other smiled "You're a noble, (Name) , you can be one without an exam."

"The Wizard King really suggested to let you in this mission," he continues "Besides, you're the mastermind behind every successful mission I have. You've helped brought the Golden Dawn into it's glory." a blush crept your cheeks in embarrassment, "I don't know.. I- might not be as skilled as you think in the battlefield."

William hums as he was slowly loosing words to motivate you, "Oh, I remember him mentioning about magical artifacts in the mission-"

"I'll go!"

"You mean, you're entrusting Lady Reonharldt to me-my squad-me?" Klaus was visibly in panic, surprised you were being assigned to his group for the mission "I look forward to working with you, Klaus," You smile, turning to the other two. "It's nice to be with you, Mimosa, Yuno," you greet, taking the other female's hand in yours.

"I'm happy to hear that, Reonharldt san," she replies, "Oh, please (Name) is still fine! Mimosa, a noble like me has no match for a royal like you" you say, a giggle escaping your lips. You and Mimosa used to play at the Vermilion house before the assasination. You were familiar of her dreams and interests and you were confident to call her, your friend. You've only lost contact with the royal after you were adopted to another house.

"Thank you, (Name) ."

"I'm trusting (Name) into your care, Klaus, I'm sure I can count on that, yes?" the Captain calmly asks, a smile on his face. But it was evident in his tone that he'll attack the male noble once he fails to do so "Of course, Captain Vangeance!"

"Then I'd like to discuss with you your task.."

You turn to the wind mage as your new Captain began to explain. Being a Golden Dawn Magic Knight did mean that Vangeance will become your Captain. "Let's do our best, Yuno" you smile, the mage turns away for while before nodding. He looks back at you, a small smile on his face "I'm happy to work with you," he says in a small whisper.

You heard and felt your cheeks warm up.

He smiled! He's never smiled before... Heck, I never knew he was capable of smiling. This is weird, send help.
