The school bell rang, and like usual, everyone ignored it. No one actually went to class until a few seconds before the second bell rang. I was chatting with my group of friends: Miaya, Josh, Blake, and I. Miaya is my best friend, and she has been ever since the beginning of junior year. Josh is Miaya's boyfriend, they've been dating for over a year now. Blake, well, he's gay. He hasn't had a boyfriend in about a year, and I think it's because there isn't much gay people here.
We were having our usual talk about where we were going to go this weekend, but the second bell cut us off. We all made our separate ways, and into our first period class. I walked into Mrs. Green's room; English. I've never been a big fan of this class. I preferred art and choir more than anything.
I take my usual assigned seat that's in the back, away from everyone else since I'm apparently "disruptive." I pull out a journal and a piece of paper, and I wait for her to give us an assignment. As I wait, i start drawing flowers around the paper, a big habit of mine. I'm disrupted by Mrs. Green's voice.
"Students, we have a new classmate today! He's here all the way from England, so be nice to him. Show him the American spirit!" She claps her hands. She's very loud and always happy. No one says anything, but everyone hates it. Including me.
"Meet Mr. Harry Styles, everyone!" She cheers, grabbing the new kid's arm and dragging him closer to her. He gave out a small smile, than went back to having a frown on his face. I looked at him up and down, looking at all his features.
He wore a black shirt, black skinny jeans and white converse. He had brown, tussled and curly hair that swept across his face. A very intense jaw line, and a tone body. When he smiled, he had dimples on the sides; pretty cute if you ask me. But the thing that i noticed the most, was his beautiful green eyes. He was definitely something refreshing, and it had me wishing that there were more boys like him in our small town.
"Harry, you can go sit in that empty seat in front of Nicki. Nicki, raise your hand!" Mrs. Green yelled out. I shot up my hand, and Harry looked at me for a split second, then looked away. He walked towards me, and slowly slipped into the seat in front of me.
"Hi. I'm Nicki." I introduce myself. I've been outgoing ever since I changed, so it's not hard for me to talk to new people. He turns and looks at me, bobbing his head.
"Hi." He quietly says. He turned back around and starts doodling on his paper like I do. I feel like I should talk to him more, but I don't want to annoy him. But I guess it won't hurt to try.
"What part of England are you from?" I ask him. I've always wanted to go to London, and maybe some of the smaller towns too. It's been a dream of mine ever since I can remember!
"Cheshire." He simply replies. I've never heard of it, so I just simply nod my head.
"Well welcome to America. I think you'll like it here." I smile politely at him. He gives one back, showing his dimples much more.
"Thanks." He says, than turns back around and waits for class to start. Even though he has only said a total of three words to me, I can tell he has a strong accent. I can already tell that the girls will be all over him, also. Who doesn't like a boy with a British accent?
fifty five minutes later, class finally ends. Harry slowly gathers his things, and starts to make his way out of the crowded class room. I run up to him, and tap him on the shoulder. He's much taller then I anticipated.
"Uh Nelly, right?" He scrunches up his eyebrows in confusion. I let out a small laugh, then cleared my throat.
"No, it's Nicki. But close enough, I guess!" I ecstatically say. He gives me an apologetic look, but I brush it off.
