Yejin anxiously bit on her lower lip while waiting for Dino to arrive. Every minute, she would stare outside the window, hoping to see his black car halt infront of her house.
It was half passed 8 already and the sound of his car honking got her attention.
'It's Dino' She bolted outside of her house and hugged him tightly. Her tears started rolling down and he couldn't help but get hurt to what he was seeing. "What's happening? Please tell me..." Yejin desperately asked him. She looked up from his chest and beads of sweat was found on her forehead, he caressed her cheeks and guided her to her house.
"They're kidnapped and one of them will be sacrificed when full moon comes. I know we should do something while I'm here or I'd be gone too." When those words crept out of his mouth, Yejin grew more worried. From that moment, she knew that they'd encounter numerous obstacles together. "What do you mean you'd be gone?" She asked. He sighed and swallowed the lump that started building in his throat. "I've been moving to different hotels for the past few days so they wouldn't find me." Yejin hugged him again, starting to imagine her life without the boys.
She heaved a sigh and tried to hold her tears back. "When is the full moon?" She asked as she starts reminiscing about the memories she made with the boys. Sure they fought a lot of times but that doesn't stop them from being friends.
"2 days from now." Dino answered then lowered his head, letting out an uncontrollable sigh. He just wished he could help his friends escape, but he just couldn't. He was still a minor and obviously it was impossible for him to save his hyungs.
The lights suddenly went out then the front door opened. "Tiptoe through the window," A man sang while the sound of his knife sliding across the wall was the only sound that could be heard in Yejin's house. "By the window, that is where I'll be." The lights were finally on and Dino was gone. She covered her mouth and ran out of the house, screaming his name loudly.
She curled up into a ball outside of her house and swayed her body back and forth. "Come tiptoe through the tulips with me." Yejin continued the song and her eyes opened widely.
"Th— The Tulips?"
author's note: i know that the title of the song isn't 'The Tulips', but once the book is finished and you understood the plot, you'll get why Yejin said 'The Tulips'. ehehhe
