If you have not read the manga then I recommend you don't read my theory as it contain spoilers.
So Grisha was sent in a mission to capture the Founding Titan by Eren Krueger. Grish lived happily in Paradis for a few years. Then before the attack of the Colossal Titan, he goes out of town on some "work". Then Carla, Grisha's wife, dies and shortly after that so does Grisha. But Grisha's death was not in vain. He had captured the Founding Titan by infiltrating a crystal cave under a church.
This is the part of the story that everyone knows. Manga readers also know that Grisha was forced to murder the Reiss family by Eren through combined powers of the Attack and Founding Titan.
Now I present to you my theory. If we assume that Grisha failed it would mean that Eren never got the Titan and also Attack on Titan would've been over by season 1 or 2. But just as Eren could influence Grisha who was an Attack Titan holder he might have also been able to influence Freida.
Hence instead of Grisha, Eren would've received the Founding and Attack Titan from Freida herself. But being Founding Titan holder, Freida shouldn't have been influenced. But the Attack Titan is the rogue titan who listens to no one. So it could've also manipulated Freida into transferring her powers to Eren and maybe also give him a buff.
The other members of the Reiss family would've survived and Christa/Historia might have grown up to work at the farm. But as Historia plays an important role in the series Eren could've somehow influenced that path too.
So basically even under drastic circumstances Eren emerges victorious in his endgame plan. The only way he could be defeated was if he died before inheriting the Titan.
Another alternate could timeline could have Freida becoming the ultimate Attack Titan. I might look more into that later if I find something.
So guys this is my first story s show some support and drop a like. :)
