Chapter six

[Poppo's POV]

I walked out of the hideout to find a place or a tree to urinate. I found one and happily sighed in relief. I saw a silhouette walking up the hill. 

They had a long white dress, long white hair, and a light surrounding them. I remembered someone with those similarities.

It can't be her...

[Jintan's POV]

I heard a knock from my door: "Jintan." Oh, it must be Dad. He slides the door open. "You going today?" He might be talking about school. 

"Nope," I replied, snuggling closer to my blanket.

"I see. "I'm off to work then." After that, he closed the door and left. 

Why aren't you scolding me? I thought, looking at the door where my dad was before. 

"Well, it's easier for me this way."

"Actually, it'd be better if he did." Before I could continue my sentence, I got cut off by Menma, who was jumping on me. telling me that I should go to school as a thank-you for Anaru.

After she said that, I remembered what Anaru said when we were at her home.

Come back to school.

"So you heard..."

"She helped you capture those Nekomon, or you'll get the cane if you break your promise!" Menma stated.

"Oh, right. This might be another "Menma's wish," and that is Jintan going to school!" she continued.

"Is that so?" 

I stood up from bed and started fixing up for school. Once I was done, I grabbed my bag and left the house.

This summer heat sure feels like the sun is cooking you alive. While walking, I saw a (h/c)-nette walking in front of me with (f/n).

Cicadas. Cicadas. People. Cicadas. Sweat. Sweat. 

While walking, I didn't notice that I was getting closer to school.

Sweat. Sweat. Sun. Sweat. People. People. Gazes.

Since I missed a whole trimester, everyone would be surprised to have me around.

"This is really uncomfortable," I muttered.

I was near the school, but I decided to give up but was stopped by Anaru.

"You came... to school." She said

Is that all she would say? Does she know I'm really unconformable?

"I..guess."

"I see," she said.

"I didn't do this just because you asked!" I said it back.

"I see," she repeated.

"Eh?"

"Is that really you, Yadomi?"

Two voices joined, and Anaru looked behind her.

Oh, it was just two of her friends, Aki and Haruna. They were surprised to see me around. It's not like they care anyway, as they said.

"With that aside, the power of love is sure magnificient! just because you paid a visit," Haruna said.

"Wha-?" 

"I can feel your scorching love!"

"Who would-" Anaru stopped and looked at me.
