A College Teen Mom

Chapter 9

I woke up to the sound of birds tweeting, I sit up to see the sky an orange colour as the sun began to rise. I look to my left and Hero is beginning to wake up. I sit there and admire the view until Hero taps my shoulder.

"Morning princess." He says with his croaky morning voice. Damn that was attractive I say inside my head.

"Morning." I say back.
"How long have you been awake for?" Hero asks as he yawns.
"Only 10 minutes or so." I say back.
"We should probably head back, Krissy is probably scared I got kidnapped or something." I joke.
"Yeah sure, do you want to stop off at Starbucks before we get back." Hero suggests.
"Yeah, I do need my morning coffee." I laugh.

We tidy the blankets up and walk back to the car.

*On the way to Starbucks*

"I feel like we havent talked about ourselves before College." I say.
"Yeah, I dont really tell people, it's just not that interesting." Hero replies.
"I'm sure it is, everyone has their own story, come on, I'll tell you about mine after." I bribe him.
"Okay fine, well I grew up in London, England and I have a brother named Titan and a sister named Mercy. Then i wanted to get away so I picked the furthest College I could think of and here I am at University of South Florida.
"Okay, well I grew up in Austin, Texas and I have 3 brothers and 1 sister. Charlie and Harvey are twins, they are 4 and then there's Mason who is 15 and Holly who is 10. I ended up here to get away from the noisy house." I answer.
"Fair enough." Hero says as we pull up to the Starbucks drive threw.

Worker, "Hey, what can I get for you?"
"I'll have one Green Tea and a Pink Drink, thank you." Hero says.
"I didnt know you were one for a Green Tea." I say with surprise.
"I have my secrets." We both laugh.

As we pull into the campus we see Krissy, Ace, Luke and Vanessa sitting on the steps near the entrance. They begin to walk up to us as we get out the car.

"Well, were have you guys been?" Vanessa asks with such attitude.
"Why does it matter to you." Hero says as he makes an annoyed face back.
"It's okay guys, I'm sure they were at a party or something." Krissy says to break the almost fight.
"Okay, so if they were at a party, why didnt you invite us, who's party was it and where was it?" Vanessa started stepping forward as she questioned us.
"You dont need to know every fucking detail of my life. So what if I was at a party or not, maybe we travelled to Australia but why would you give a shit anyway, you dont care you were probably fucking Luke anyway." Hero yelled at Vanessa.
"I think that's enough Hero." Ace says stepping in.
"Dont just accuse me, she is the one who started it with her fat mouth." Hero shouted.
"Very mature." Luke said under his breath as him and Vanessa walked away.
I stopped Hero for going after him by trying to calm him down.

"Come on Yasmin, let's get you back to our dorm." Krissy says taking me by the hand.
"Yeah." I say looking back at Hero to see him talking to Ace. He is definitely hiding something from me.

Krissy asks me what we actually did as she already knew that we didn't go to a party as I previously told her we were going to Turner's Pub. I tell her everything.

"Thank you for covering for us." I thank her.
"Isnt that what friends are for, I knew Vanessa would go insane if she found out what you guys did." She replies.
"What even happened between Vanessa and Hero?" I ask.
"I think you should ask Hero that, I dont if he wants people really knowing, I'm sure he will tell you though." Krissy sighs.
"Oh okay." I say a little disappointed but I agree with her.

I text Hero a couple of minutes later saying:
Me: I think we need to talk.
Hero: Yeah I agree meet me in the car park.
