I STILL NEED YOU

CHAPTER - 19

MON-EL'S POV

It's been two days and we have trying really hard to contact legion. Brainy said he is not sure that the signal we sent would've reached there so he said there's nothing we could do but wait. He said we will be able to know it when they arrive because in the message we asked them to come as soon as possible. It's been a while since Zora tried to threaten us and there's no crime in the city. It's like everyone has become saints in a day but it is good to know that we don't have any distractions and we could focus on the problem in front of us.

I still have to talk to Lena about David, she has been constantly busy at her work and if she is even free she is spending that time with David. Kara was right that I have no place to judge David but I have to because it concerns the life of my family, my only family I ever had. We were all gathered in the tower. It's been a hell of two days we are constantly trying to locate Zora or anything closer to the plan she has. All we know is that she wants to kill all of us and the reason behind all of this is her son. The son she never loved and never cared for her. If that's the definition of mother's love for her, I think I did the best from him when I was at Daxam. I provided him the life he deserved and let me tell you he deserved the world. He had a beautiful soul. I only wish to see him last time and tell that how much he meant to me, he was just like my brother.

" Hey Mon-el " Kara's voice interrupted my thoughts. She was walking towards me with a smile on her face. " Yeah? ". I asked her. " What are you thinking ? ". She replied with a question. " Just some stuff ". I shrugged and saw her expression change and she let out a sigh. " You worry so much just leave it's been a week since her last attack on me. If anything will happen you will be the first one to know ". She said while patting my shoulder. " I can't just stop worrying, you guys mean the world to me. I mean you made me who I am now ". I said while sighing and sinking on the chair beside me. " Well I know you'll keep worrying so let's have a movie night at my house tonight. It will cheer your mood up and will be a good distraction from all of it ". She said while trying to cheer my mode up. " How are you so carefree ? ". I asked her and she just let out a sigh. " I can't stop thinking about it either. Last night I didn't even sleep because I had a fear that she will try to kill someone I love and I wouldn't be able to save him ". She said while sitting on the chair next to me. " So I think we both could use some distraction ". I said while grinning at her and she just laughed. " You get the ice cream and I will get the potstickers. Deal ". She asked me while extending her hand for me to shake, I gladly took it and said " Deal ".

KARA'S POV

I set up my apartment for the movie night with Mon-el. I had all the movies we used to watch together on Friday night after we played the game night with everyone, by just remembering what we used to do brought a smile on my face. Funny Face, Wizard of Oz, Harry potter and the list goes on.

After an hour of waiting, I heard a knock on the door. I rushed to open the door, just when I opened the door I saw a board saying ' I'm sorry for being late but I brought your favourite ice cream '. I laughed at his innocence and let him in. " I'm sorry " he said again and I just smiled at him. " It's okay but I really want to know how come you are late ". I asked while crossing my arms in front of my chest. " I was thinking, you know about what and I didn't even realize what time was it. I quickly rushed to the store and got all ice flavours they had just for you to forgive me ". He said while looking down in embarrassment. I took the bag from his hands and placed all the ice creams in the refrigerator. " How many ice creams you brought they are not even fitting in my fridge ". I groaned while trying to place all the ice creams. He just laughed at my attempts and I gave him a death stare enough for him to shut his mouth.

After my failed attempts we decided to eat the two ice cream tubs that were not fitting inside the fridge, to eat. First we finished the ice cream quickly in just five minutes. After that I heated up the potstickers and again we started watching our movies.
