The Alfa And His Mate

CHAPTER 3

Nick's POV

I turned around to meet furious silver eyes that looked as if they were staring into my soul.This girl was fussing because I called her a child,Then has the nerve to use such indecent language in front of me! An Alfa.I looked at the young girl intensely then purposely let a growl escaped my lip. The girls muscles became tense for a second, then she took a deep breath in as she tried to relax herself, when she succeeded in doing so she had a look of embarrassment as if she had remembered something. So to also calm myself I took a deep breath in remembering what happened before this whole conversation but something snapped me out of my thoughts when I took a woof of the air , I smelt something sweet like Carmel and cinnamon with a dash of honey but mixed up in all that was she smell of embarrassment and guilt. My wolf then whimpered at the sent cause it wanted to make all those negative emotions go away. I scanned around the room then a perfect pare of silver-grey eyes landed on me and our eyes were now locked together. To make shore I wasn't out of my mind I took another woof of air . I smelt the same smell but there was no longer any embarrassment and shore enough the smell was coming from veronica and the moment I realized that the next words that escapes my lips were 'mate'...

Veronica's POV

And who the f**k are you calling A little girl I am 23 years old I'll have you know as soon as those words left my mouth I felt embarrassed and guilty cause after all I read about wolves I should know better than anyone that wolves are prideful and doesn't like disrespect in any way or form so I looked up at the man before me and our eyes locked at that point all my embarrassment faded away but the guilt was still very present. The man before me stared at me intensely and a low but very hearable growl escaped his lips at that point I my body visually tensed up for a second but when I add he wasn't going to hurt my I took a deep breath and relaxed, when I was finished, he did the same thing seemingly to calm him down but when he opened his eyes, his beautiful brown he looked as if he just had a realisation, he looked at me once again and our eyes locked for a couple of Seconds which made me feel sparkles all over, he then took another deep breath in and this time when he opened his eyes he had contemplated look on his face before he practically whispered the words mate.
