"Let them in, they have a kid!" Ruby exclaimed.
Ruby and Ophelia both ran down the hallway to the door to open it to the two people. Both quickly entered and sighed in relief. When they had caught their breath the elder man thanked the group for their kindness.
"You won't be here long so don't get used to it." Liquor said.
"Dude shut up, the army said to round up survivors anyway so stop being a little bitch about it." Sampson had finally had enough.
"Do you think Hassan was a little bitch when he protected us from outsiders?"
Ruby glared at the boy warning him not to go further.
"Or how about your boyfriend that is six feet under? He hated kids didn't he?"
Sampson threw himself of liquor, chucking punches towards the other and landing many of them. However, it wasn't an easy fight as Liquor kicked him back. It went on for seconds until Aeron and Ash pulled the two apart.
"Enough! We let them in and that's the end of it! Now get yourself together your scaring the little girl!" Ruby shouted, anger at the highest level.
Sarah looked to her right and saw how the little girl had retreated behind the man's leg. Trying to be as welcoming as possible, she started walking towards the two. The girl hid further but it didn't stop Sarah crouching down to her eye level.
"Hey sweetie, what's your name?" The softness in her voice was comforting.
Blue eyes piercing into Sarah's, the little girl appeared for a couple of seconds to say her name before hiding again.
Misty.
"Well, I guess since my daughter has introduced herself I should too. I'm Mac. We are so grateful for you letting us in." His voice was husky and deep.
Ruby thought about what needed to happen now. After showing the two newbies where they would be living she asked the group who would be willing to go on a food trip. Two more mouths to feed meant more food should be retrieved. Especially since the last batch had run low.
"I can go if you want?" Mac volunteered.
"I appreciate it but honestly, we don't know your skill set yet," Ruby replied.
"So who's up for it?"
