Running. That was all she could remember.

She looked around and saw the bright green of a forest. The sound of birds sped past her ears, along with the sounds twigs snapping, and leaves rustling. She felt the sharpness of the branches as they hit and ripped at her and her clothing.

All she knew was that she was running and that she had to keep running. But from what? And why? Suddenly, she tripped from being lost in her own thoughts. She quickly gathered herself to her feet. She looked around, but didn't start running again. She had to know what it was she had to run from. What it was she had to be afraid of.

A loud roar suddenly burst from within th forest. The birds and animals fled. Something was coming, something big.

"Why did you stop, Clarissa?" Clary spun around. She was met with a pair of green eyes identical to hers and some steely blond hair like Valentine's. Like her father's. The only person she knew who had that hair and those eyes. The eyes of her and her mother. Her brother. Jonathan Christopher Morgenstern.

"Jonathan?" She asked, stunned. Her red hair was flying in all directions "How are you here? You're dead." Tears started forming in her eyes. The fact that she had met her real brother, the one that didn't have demon blood in him, for about only one minute, was a painful subject for her.

"It dosen't matter, keep running Clarissa! Keep running from it, keep running!" Jonathan sounded desperate.

"From what?" Clary asked, practically begging him to anwser her.

"It doesn't matter," he repeated "Keep running Clarissa. Keep running from it, keep running!"

"I'm not moving until you tell me what I'm running from," she stated, almost shouting. She needed him to tell her. She needed him to tell her many things, but this seemed to be the most important.

In the next few moments, time seemed to slow down. A roar burst out from the woods again, this time much louder to her than before. IT- whatever IT was- was getting closer.

Clary turnedaround to face the creature. In the path she made stood what she had killed in the battle in Edom. The battle that took her older brother's life, caused her best friend since age six to give up all his memories of her and her friends, caused Helen Blackthorn to be forced to leave her younger brothers and sisters to prove herself to the Shadowhunters when her family needed her more. What had changed everyone involved with the Shadowhunter and magical world's live's forever.

There stood Sebastian Morgenstern. The demon who Valentine had created before he was ever born by feeding her mother demon blood without her knowledge while she was pregnant. The moster who had taken lives, including the youngest Lightwood boy, the younger brother of her best friends and boyfriend. The one who had stolen and possessed her brother, controlled her boyfriend, made her murder her own brother.

He had on a white dress shirt, ripped and stained with blood. The same was said for his black dress pants. His steely blond hair was disheveled, his black eyes looked more menacing and frightening than when she had seen them last. More than she had ever seen them.

"Come join me, little sister" he said in a ruff, cruel voice. Clary turned around to face Jonathan, but he was gone. Before she knew it, she was running again. Jonathan's voice echoed through her head. 'Keep running Clarissa. Keep running from it, keep running.'

Her head began echoing with voices. The voices of her loved ones, the voices of the people she loved who were in pain of hurt. There was shouting, crying, pain.

As she was running, she saw Jonathan appear in front of her, but she didn't stop, not for a second. As she ran he seemed to staying at the same distance in front of her without actually moving.

"Keep running Clarissa. Keep running from it, just keep running. Don't stop, I'll protect you from him. Just keep running and don't stop, escape while you still can." He then ran past her, charging at Sebastian.

Clary kept running, but turned her head and automatically whished she hadn't. When she turned around, she Jonathan charge at Sebastian. Before she knew it Sebastian's hand was coming out of Jonathan's back, gripping a still beating heart.

Jonathan's body went limp. Sebastian lowered her brother's body to the ground, then dropped the heart. He looked back up at her, gave her a menacing grin, and started running again.

Clary turned her head back around and started running faster. Tears welled up in her eyes, it felt like the battle in Edom all over again. The voices started shouting in her head again, this time more aggressive, sad, scared, more painful to listen to. One of which belonged to Jonathan saying "I told you I would protect you". The voices then began to merge into one voice. Jace's voice.

"Clary!" he shouted "Clary wake up! Wake up!" This was said three times, before she opened her eyes screaming and was met with the golden eyes and face of her lover. Before Jace could get in a word after she finished panting, she buried her face in his chest, and started to cry herself to sleep again.
