My eyes are still burning red
So turn the lights out
You're not so hard to forget
With all the lights out
LIGHTS OUT royal blood

"Nice to meet you Roxy," the one Anaïs pointed out as Ryan said, stepping forward to kiss my cheek.

"Pleasure's all mine," I smiled, taking my cigarette out of my mouth and letting the smoke leave my mouth, "Just call me Smokey, every other fucker does."

"So you're the famous Smokey," the most attractive one said.

"That's me," I smirked, fluffing up my hair after throwing my cigarette on the concrete slab below my feet.

"Elijah, or Eli, whichever you prefer," he told me, smiled flirtatiously.

"Nice to meet you darlin'," I smiled back, also flirtatiously.

"Have you finished mentally undressing her?" the one I had been told was Robert said, "Sorry about him. I'm Robert."

"I really don't mind," I laughed, "Nice to meet you lad."

"He's Josh," Robert said, pointing to the lad who hasn't said a thing yet, "Don't be shocked, he normally doesn't say anything."

"Especially not when there's a pretty girl stood in front of him," Ryan added.

"I'm sure he can speak for himself," I said, looking at Josh.

"I can," Josh said.

"See," I told Robert and Ryan, swinging my arm over Josh's shoulder and kissing his cheek, "Don't pick on the poor lad. I'll protect you against those brutes."

"Good, at least someone cares," Josh laughed lightly.

"Fuck me I need a drink," I said, earning a snort from Anaïs as I took my arm from around Josh, "Didn't plan on saying that out loud."

"Come on then," Elijah said, holding his hand out, which I took.

"Be careful Eli, you'd think she's bad now, but she only gets worse when she's shitfaced!" Anaïs shouted jokingly.

"Twat!" I shouted in response, sticking two fingers up at her.

He led me back to the kitchen, getting a couple of beers from the fridge and opening them with the bottle opener, passing one to me.

"Cheers darlin'," I said, raising my bottle.

"Cheers baby," he said.

"Back outside?" I asked him.

"Yeah, I'm melting in here," he said.

We left the kitchen, wandering back outside where everyone else was. I spotted Anaïs a mile off with her bloody camera. Just when I thought I'd gotten away without her taking a picture of me, I saw her turn and snap one. I stuck two fingers up at her, making Elijah laugh and do the same.

"Your dad wants to see you," Mam said, passing me a bottle of beer.

"You fucking what?" I asked, turning to look at her in disbelief.

"I'll see you in a bit," Elijah said, softly touching my arm.

"I won't be long," I told him, "I'll come and find you."

He nodded, smiling lightly and disappeared.

"When we get back to England I mean," Mam told me, putting her arm around my shoulder.
