Prologue
Before, there were two celestial beings roaming the universe in search of something to do. They were bored, you see. Having the whole entire space and time at their disposal was something someone gets tired of after a few million eras. One suggested that they take a break in some planet where the air was light and the mana plentiful, cut off all their Sights and try to rest for an epoch or two. Wait it out then open the pot once it simmers. The other hated the idea; suggesting that they change the universe to their liking, make it work for them and not just look at what happens next, it was too bright and one-sided. He was sick of not being known by the creatures of the universe. With all the things he has done to enrich the history and make the fate of planets more meaningful, it is only fair that they get some acknowledgement. The former was weary of the idea but did not want the conflict.
So they played god.
Planet after planet, they established religions and cults wherein they were worshiped and revered. Shrines were built for them, lives were sacrificed for them, races made extinct for them. Little by little all of the universe became for them. It wasn’t long before the universe was consumed by darkness and started to die.
Then the True God, the creator of the beings and the universe, punished them for destroying his most precious creation and made their souls into worlds. Vr’Toros and Gaea. Now, the celestial beings were damned to become and feel all the things that are in their worlds and all the foulness they have done, a millionfold.
They gave birth to many living things to take away solitude and to experience happiness and love. Their worlds were connected to amplify the good emotions, the happy feelings.
Vr’Toros and Gaea lived in harmony with the latter centering on magic and alchemy while the former built a culture of technology and rationality. Humans and Gaeans lived side by side and strived to create a world of accord. Travel between the two worlds with the use of portals were common.
But the darkness they created did not disappear and immediately took over Vr’Toros and Gaea. They felt countless of deaths and countless of suffering caused by what they spread. Slowly, the darkness took over and death was upon them. With the portals severed and gone, chaos ruled over the worlds. The celestial beings repented and begged that they be forgiven for what they have done, promising that they would never do it again. They cried out for a millennia before they were heard.
The True God gave them a second chance, saying that seven signs would be given on the fifth cycle before their end, and they would each have to sacrifice a worthy human before the third sign occurs, to suffer how the universe suffered, to roam free once again. If they fail, the beings will be left in their darkness forever.
