Chapter 1: Christmas

A/N: Hey so this is my first fanfiction EVER!!!  Let me know what you think!  I have the next 3 chapters after this one planned but IDEAS ARE WELCOME!  Enjoy!  Also, all things Harry Potter DO NOT belong to me!!  The picture above DOES NOT belong to me!!  The only thing I own is the story below(which is completely different from the original, besides the characters)!!  THE AMAZING WOMAN JK ROWLING OF THE UK DOES!!!  THANK YOU JK FOR CREATING THE AMAZING WORLD THAT IS HARRY FREAKING POTTER!!!

It was Christmastime at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Ever since Percy, Fred, George, and Ron Weasley told Harry and Hermione Granger(a muggle born the same age as Harry and Ron)about their family, Harry and Ginny Weasley(the only girl Weasley child, also the youngest Weasley, a year younger than Ron and Harry)had been exchanging letters multiple times a week, secretly, so Ron wouldn't think his best mate fancies his sister-which he didn't, right?!

In the first 4 months of school, Harry and Ginny had, very descriptively, described their childhoods thus far. Harry's consumed of multiple beatings and not getting to eat for weeks at the time. Ginny's childhood, while very different from Harry's, was just as grueling, as the youngest Weasley AND only girl with 6 older brothers, she got left out a lot. Her brothers refused to teach her to play Quidditch-a wizarding sport-so at night she snuck out to their homemade pitch and taught herself to fly. The only brothers who included her in their fun were the twins, Fred and George. They were the pranksters of the family and often let Ginny in on their shenanigans. Once, they took an empty Chocolate Frog box and replaced it with a real(harmless)spider and gave it to Ron who is DEATHLY afraid of spiders, harmless or not. Of course Ron practically passed out, screaming from the spider. Hearing her Ickle Ronniekins - Fred and George(and Ginny's)name for Ron - screaming, Mrs Weasley ran into the room, and the trio of pranksters got a week's worth of grounding for giving their mum a heart attack.

For the Christmas holiday, Mrs Weasley invited Harry to the Burrow-the Weasleys home-and he happily accepted, as Hermione was going home to her parents, and the Weasleys to theirs, and Harry did not want to stay at Hogwarts without his friends, nor did he want to go back to the Dursleys for Christmas. He also felt like, being Ron's best friend, he should get to know Ginny, Mr and Mrs Weasley, and Bill and Charlie(the oldest Weasleys who had graduated Hogwarts)better. Once they got to the Borrow from Kings Cross, Harry was led to Ron's room where there was a spare bed for him to sleep. On the way up, Harry got to see the rest of the Borrow, an odd, yet amazing place the Weasleys get to call home.

The day before Christmas Eve, Harry convinced the Weasley boys to let Ginny play Quidditch with them. The teams were:

Charlie-keeper, for both teams

Fred-beater

Ron-chaser

Harry-seeker

And

Bill-chaser

George-beater

Ginny-seeker

The game ended and George, Bill and Ginny's team won when Ginny caught the snitch making the final score 210-30. Either Bill was a very good chaser and was good at getting the Quaffle past Charlie, or Ron was just very bad. Ginny was SO happy that she led two of her older brothers to victory. She was a very good seeker, but she knew she would be a better chaser. But no one knew this except her and Harry. There weren't any secrets she kept from him. Except one. But I mean what 10 year old girl DOESN'T have a ginormous crush on Harry BLOODY Potter?! He saved the wizarding-and muggle-world when he was a BABY!
