I breathed out into the cold air, I saw the smoke of my cigarette leaving my mouth, slowly, disappearing in the cold winter night. I rubbed my arms with my hands, trying to cause some friction, to warm up. I gave up and continued walking forward, occasionally, stumbling over my feet, taking a drink of vodka, and smoking my cigarette. Cigarettes are gross.
After a while, I could barely walk anymore. I took a seat on the wet curb. Everything was wet, it had just rained earlier. Old me, would not have sat down because it would get my butt dirty and wet. Actually, old me wouldn't be out right now at 4 a.m walking in the street drunk and alone. But I'm new me, now.
I sat alone on the side of the road, drinking and smoking at 4 in the morning. When I finally ran out of vodka, I threw the bottle across the street, causing it to break when it hit the concrete. "Stupid bitch," I mumbled, to no one but myself.
I walked home.
