Going Home

"Going Home":

You ever get that feeling, like your out somewhere and you just don't want to go home. Not for anything right? I felt that way when I woke up the next morning. I had always loved the beach house. I knew that I had to go home though, the girls and I had things to plan for the rest of our summer.

Instead of leaving them to sleep in, I got up and shook them both awake. I could tell they weren't happy about that - I got 'the look' from them.

"Come on girls, early breakfast and then we have to pack up. We are outta here by 10 got it?" I tell them, glancing at the clock on the side table next to the couch - 8:05, that should be enough time.

"I'm up! I'm up!" Adriana yells as I had resorted to poking her in the ribs to get her to move.

Alessandra had sat up as soon as I shook her, she started to fold her' s and my blanket and pulled Adriana's own which was wrapped around her. Now that definietly woke her up because she tumbled to the floor and landed with a thud. She groaned but then got up from the floor. Having folded all three blankets, I returned them to the cupboard and went into the kitchen to pour some cereal for us. The usual process went on - getting the supples then pouring half and half of the two cereals -. Five minutes later we were all sitting on chairs next to the island eating our breakfast. After breakfast, Adriana washed the dishes and then we went to go take showers, each of us took a shower in separate bedrooms, I was in my room, Adriana in the spare room next to me and Alessandra in the one next to hers.

We all took our showers then met up in my room to pack our stuff. We had each brought a small duffle bag, although I kept clothes at the beach house, we always like to be prepared. We packed the clothes that we had used, our phone chargers, the canon cameras we had brought to take pictures at the party - 'have to go through them later' I mentally reminded myself - and between the three bags, we fit all of my birthday gifts in them.

Though there was a large number of people at my party, not everyone thought it necessary to give me a gift and I thought that was fair. Everyone had come to give me birthday wishes so I was fine with it. Majority of my presents were jewelry such as necklaces and earrings etc. the rest were things like nail polish sets, cases for my phone, bags and I got some money also. Adriana had made a board collage out of a corkboard, pins and a bunch of pictures she printed out and put together of the three of us - because it was so big she had given it to me before we drove up to the beach house and it is currently taking up half of one of my walls - and Alessandra gave me a heart shaped necklace but there was a twist to it, it wasn't just one necklace - it was three puzzle pieces that could come to get her to form a heart, so basically we all got a part of the necklace - but we hadn't put them on yet, afraid to lose them at the party or something so we will probably share the pieces out when we get home.

My parents decided for my birthday present that they would buy me my own horse. Yeah did I tell you that I ride horses? Must sound strange to you - rich girl who is into horses is only now getting one, well remember when I told you that I don't really take advantage of the fact that my parents are rather well off, I wasn't lying. If it hadn't have been their idea I would probably continue riding at the riding academy I had been going to for the past 4 years that was only 10 minutes away from my house. Anyway, they say that we will have to look around until I find the horse I really want - they have already gotten contractors to come look at our property, we have at least 3 acres of unused land behind our house and we would have to fence in a piece for a grass arena and then built an indoor arena for sand, also build a barn.

After having packed everything, the girls and I took our bags to the car and I made sure to lock up the house and turn off any electrical things we might have used. We piled into my blue range rover and took the two hour drive to my house. We pulled into the extra long, sort of two lanes driveway and parked. In the process of unloading our bags, my mother opened the front door and Reece and Jinty - our border collie and Scottish terrier - ran out the door to come greet us. We all waved to my mother then looked down to pat the dogs and took our luggage inside.

"Well girls, I hope you had a lovely time. Adri your mum called, she says you should come home for today so the two of you could talk on what the three of you have decided to do come September. Maybe you should too Aless?" My mother explains.

"Ok I will drive over now then, see you girls later." Adriana says walking out the front door without her duffle bag. Her car as well as Alessandra's were parked in the driveway as they had come over to help me pack for the party and we all just ended up driving down with my parents.

"I will head over to my house also then, bye." She said with a smile and followed Adriana out the door.

My mother turns to me, smiles wide and gives me an unexpected hug - my mother and I were never the ones to talk about my personal life, other than Adri and Al, or hug and such so this took me by surprise. Nonetheless I hugged her back.

"My baby is eighteen years old now." She whispered.

"Yeah mom get used to it." I said in response with a little laugh.

TWO DAYS LATER:-

Adriana, Alessandra and I were at Adri's house, after the episode with my mother I went upstairs to unpack - taking all three duffle bags with me - and the rest if the day relaxed in my room. The next day the three of us did a three-way call on FaceTime and decided that we would do some research on movie rolls that the auditions were coming up in a week's time and we would meet at Adri's house the day after.

Sitting on her bed, the three of us with our MacBooks out to the pages that had the movies we think we would be good in and the roles we had picked out. The first movie was Vampire Academy. It was said that Vasilisa Dragomir was a blonde hair, blue eyed girl so we thought that Alessandra would be perfect to play her and she loved role playing the supernatural. I being a little more athletic than the two of them thought that I could pull off being Rose Hathaway as she is a protector and she learns to fight throughout the movie, I also had her dark hair and common brown eyes. We were thinking that Adriana could probably pull off being psycho if she really got into the role because then she could be Natalie Dashkov who goes mad basically halfway through the movie.
The second movie was The Giver. We weren't sure who would be who, but we had picked out three female characters that we thought we could all play. One was Rosemary, she doesn't show up much but is the daughter of a respected man however she is dead - she shows up in a hologram, Fiona who is the girl that The Giver fancies and wants for her to believe him and the last one was Lilly, she is the innocent girl in the movie.
The third movie was Stuck in Love. Basically three couples form in this movie although some take longer to form than others. We thought that Adri would be good playing Erica because she looks a lot older than us, although she is the same 18 as the rest of us - she could pass for the most 22. Erica is said to be the ex-wife who gradually finds that she never stopped loving her husband and find her way back to him. Alessandra could play Kate, who is a girl that how's a bit of problems but wants to get better and so she finds herself love to heal her own sorrows and mistakes. We all agreed that I could pull off Samantha Borgens as she plays hard to get with a guy, even though she liked him from the moment he tried to talk to her.

The auditions for these movies were conveniently the same day, two days from now. We decided we would try all of them and give it our best shot.
