IT TOOK EVERY OUNCE of Dino's willpower to hold himself back from shouting. He's been stuck in writing an essay ever since the past hour, and when he realized this, he typed out his schedule for the following week in an attempt to be productive. Sadly, what he saw on his screen overwhelmed him, and Lee seemed to notice the discouragement on his face.
"Dino? What's wrong?" Lee asked with a gentle tone as his eyes chased after the last lines of the page he was reading. He waited for a reply, but no voice followed. Instead, the brief moment of silence replied to him. With a sigh, Lee looked up from his book and put it aside.
Wearing his slippers, Lee slowly motioned towards Dino. His eyebrows furrowed in concern upon seeing the notebooks and pencils scattered across his desk, and the creases on his forehead deepened when he saw Dino's defeated expression.
"Just working on my essay. It's not going well." Dino said with a frown as he moved his cursor around.
Worried and unsure of what to say, he ruffled Dino's hair gently to comfort him and managed to get a glimpse of his laptop screen. What he saw also took him by surprise, causing him to blank out.
"Should we grab a snack?" Lee snapped out of his short-lived trance and suggested with a warm smile, hoping he'd get the answer he was looking for. Dino smiled at his suggestion and cleared his throat.
"Yes, please!" He replied with joy and a sense of desperation after offering one last glance at his essay. "How are you doing though?" asked Dino while stretching lightly.
Lee smiled at his reply before walking towards his closet. "I was doing alright... until you interrupted me."
Even with his back facing him, Dino saw the smile on his face. "Who said I interrupted you?"
Since Lee was in the middle of putting on a sweater and a cap, there was a slight delay in his reply, which caused Dino to laugh. Lee grinned as he sported a cap paired with his everyday hoodie. "Hah.. you got me there..."
"Let's go?" Dino asked while walking towards the door, and Lee followed him from behind. He adjusted Lee's cap for him before twisting the key and unlocking the door. "Oldies first..." He teased with a warm grin.
As a response to this remark, Lee smiled warmly since he's heard it a million times. "Alright then... Give me the keys." and Dino gave it to him after he locked the door. (He's surprised at how Lee hasn't snapped at him yet, considering the number of times he's called him an oldie.)
