Chapter 3 : Vivian's Debutante Ball

"Oh Mother, Do i have to attend another ball??", frowns Nicholas.

"Yes dear, this is an important debutante ball, its the Taylor's daughter debutante, you know your father is good friends with Mr. Taylor right? ", replied Mrs.Coopers.

Nicholas gives a big sigh, and nods, he knows the Taylors are good friends with them and it would be rude not to attend this ball. Well then, another ball it is, Nicholas thought to himself. His mother tells him to be ready on 5pm as he retreat to his room.

The ball was not held in the town where the Taylor's lived, because the town the Taylor's lived have no ballrooms to rent. So they held the debutante ball in the city where Coopers lived in. When the Coopers arrived at the ball it was full of people already, all the people in the bussiness industry was there, mostly with their sons. It's obvious they want to try to have their son as the husband-to-be of Taylor's daughter.

Mr and Mrs Taylor was already there in the room, welcoming guests, and behind them was a young man with light blond wavy hair, blue eyes, and pinkish lips that shows a charming smile to the guests, it's their son, Hans. It was quite a long time since Nicholas saw Hans, last time it was when they were 16, and now they're 21, Hans looks so much mature and more handsome now, it stunned Nicholas. Nicholas greet Mr and Mrs Taylor, shooking their hands while his eyes still glancing to Hans, and after he greets them, he greets Hans with a hug.

"Hello Hans, long time no see, still as charming as ever i see"

"Hello to you too Nicholas, i know i am charming, now now don't be so fluttered by my appearance", Hans playfully replied with a teasing grin

Nicholas was taken aback but still manage to let a laugh out.

"Oh that full confidence of yours is still there"

"Of course, good to see you again Nicholas"

"Good to see you again too" , Nicholas replied with a smile.

Not long after their conversation, they welcome the entrance of Vivian Taylor, and the debutante ball begins. The Coopers greet Vivian, and have some conversations with her, after Nicholas also greets her and have a little chat with her, he excuse himself as his parents also wants to have a further talk with Vivian. After a long while, the ball ended and they all headed to their homes.
