GLOW-UPS"Easy they come, easy they go. I jump from the train, I ride off alone."
- The archer, Taylor Swift
Josephine had a swing in her step as she entered school, excited for her plans after school. She knew perfectly what she wanted to do, she was going to go meditate in the woods until she found where Isaac was.
She knew he was innocent. Cassandra said that a monstrous creature had murdered Norman Lahey (not that the man wasn't a monster already), and it couldn't possibly be him. So Josie wanted to offer her help, she wanted to be there for him, in ways she didn't when her mother took her away after Camden's death.
But all her excitement disappeared once she entered her English class. The blood drained from her face as she saw Isaac sitting on a different seat, a smug smirk on his lips as he mindlessly played with the pen in his hands.
She allowed her feet to drag her to her usual seat, her eyes still glued to his figure while Isaac pretended not to notice her presence. He could feel his heart beating faster at the sight of her, beautiful as ever, and how his grip on the pen tightened and broke it in a half as he tried to restrain himself from looking her way and inviting her to seat next to him.
No, he couldn't possibly do that. He had been sent back to school with a mission. And it had nothing to do with interacting with Josie. Isaac had even claimed a new random seat for himself just so he didn't have to have her too close.
His new werewolf abilities were driving him crazy. Her heartbeat was the sweetest melody to his ears, her scent driving him crazy. He shook his head to get rid of those thoughts.
"Hey, Josie." Matt's voice snapped her out of her thoughts and forced her to look away from Isaac. "Mind if I sit here? Lahey has taken my old seat for some reason."
"Sure." She forced a smile and looked up to the board as the class began.
But it had been in vain. If it wasn't for Matt, her notebook would have remained completely blank, her mind unable to focus on 'transitive verbs' at the moment.
As soon as class was over, she tried to follow Isaac, and she spotted his tall frame walking towards a blonde girl with a matching leather jacket, both of them matching outfits in general.
"Erica?" Both werewolves pretended not to have listened to the surprised question leaving Josie's lips from the other end of the hallway.
The witch had to blink a couple times to fully take in her old friend's new look. Her blonde hair was silky and shiny as it fell in ringlets on her shoulders, her curves were at display due to the tight skit she was wearing, and her eyelids were decorated with heavy make up she had never seen Erica wear before.
