The hallway of Naruto

A Break

"According to the signs here these are the last pictures where Naruto is alone to be seen for a while." Karin helpfully supplied.

Sasuke nodded. Thankful that since they arrived here she hasn't clung to him. Her and Suigetsu haven't fought yet either.

The Uchiha was in the middle of the group named taka. Karin and Juugo were on either side of him and Karin next to Juugo.

He was lucky that the three were here with him or it would have been really awkward.

"There is a table surrounded by couches with food and drinks on it. Would you rather we keep going or sit down and take a break?" Sakura asked.

The medic-nin glanced at Sasuke who had been quiet since they have been brought here. She hasn't spoken to him and there hadn't really been a reason to. It was nice seeing him again as something other than an enemy.

They mostly agreed or just did not care.

"Do you think we learn more about our future here?" Choji asked.

"We have seen pictures of Naruto from more than 10 years into the future. It does not tell us much about what will happen in the years to come except that Naruto will survive. But we have to create theories with the few clues we have." Gaara answered.

"What do you mean?"

"For example Naruto himself has pointed out that he looks peaceful in the mentioned photo. From this we can already guess that he does not take part in any war concerning Konoha."

"Or Suna. I don't think that I would be calm with Gaara, Temari and Kankuro at war." Naruto said.

Temari and Gaara smiled at him. "I wonder why Kankuro's not with us." Temari said.

Sakura hummed, wondering the same and taking a bite of her bread. She had her thoughts but she didn't think it was important. 𝘈𝘯𝘥, she thought, 𝘐 𝘥𝘰𝘯'𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘬 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘸𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘢𝘱𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘤𝘪𝘢𝘵𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘪𝘥𝘦𝘢 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘩𝘦 𝘪𝘴 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘪𝘮𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘵𝘢𝘯𝘵 𝘦𝘯𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘧𝘶𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘦. She shook her head. 𝘐'𝘮 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘯 𝘴𝘶𝘳𝘦 𝘪𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵'𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘤𝘢𝘴𝘦 𝘴𝘰 𝘐 𝘥𝘰𝘯'𝘵 𝘸𝘢𝘯𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘶𝘯𝘯𝘦𝘤𝘦𝘴𝘴𝘢𝘳𝘪𝘭𝘺 𝘴𝘢𝘺 𝘢𝘯𝘺𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴.

Sai, who drank some water, had the same train of thought but from his past months experiences with people, knew better than to say it out loud.*

They chatted the next few minutes, letting everyone eat, drink and for a few minutes forget about the stress they all had been in in the last days.
