To those of u who read the previous chapter "U Knew Better" before I edited it I kinda changed the ending. Sorry for the inconvenience but I removed the " Are we still friends?" part, It kinda messed with the arc of the story. But u don't have to go to the chapter and re read it, Not a big change. Any way hope u enjoy this.

It was easy to pretend, So much easier than accepting the reality and the way they'd been messed up. Just about a year ago everything was perfect. So what if they had to live everyday barely escaping death atleast they had each other but now, now everything was to say the very least damaged, torn to pieces, broken from the very core.
Raven found herself reluctantly pulling away from his gaze, " Uh.."
"Yea i think i should go now." He began to turn away.
"Wait!" She called out sounding a little more eager than necessary." I..uh..have something i need to return to u."
"Huh?"
" Just follow me."
They walked towards the her bed where she bent down and pulled a small suitcase from underneath. He curiously peered inside the open suitcase to be greeted by alot of clothes much bigger than Raven's frame. She pulled out a maroon hoodie from somewhere inside followed by a bunch of brightly coloured graphic shirts and a few shorts that initially belonged to nobody else but the very challenging.
" I wanted to return these before but i had never got the chance to, dont worry they've been washed and not worn since we..uh... stopped being associated."
He turned from the clothes to her associated?," Why do u have so many clothes like that?"
For a moment she looked confused but slowly an understanding dawned upon her that truned to smugness resulting a coy smile on her lips,
" I've been active."
Oh how those words aggravated him. The very thought of somebody else's fingers touching the smooth pale skin made his blood boil. He suppressed the forbidden irritation as best as he could.
"Oh one more thing, Remember those papers Dick had given to me on my 20th birthday.?"
He nodded remembering the large stack of papers Raven had forbidden anyone even himself from seeing.
" Yea the ones u hid from all of us."
" Mhmmm, i should've told u this earlier but...." "Anyway they were adoption papers for Melvin, Timmy, Tether and even Bobby. It so happens that I've been their unoffical adoptive mother since then but now that everyone knows, You and Terra we're the only one's left. I'm kinda planning on getting an apartment near the tower so that the kids can go to school but also learn to manipulate their powers." She said the words evenly, completely monotone.
(I really don't like the pacing of my writing so please bare with me till i learn to control it.)
Her words and nonchalance struck a cord within him, If he wasn't angry before then he was completely furious now.
Beastboy's face was unreadable, his voice so cold it gave her chills, " Why didn't u tell me this when we were still.." He scoffed," associated? Aren't couples supposed to share things like this. But u..." His voice grew dangerously fierce," choose to hide it from me until we stopped dating damitt until we stopped dating not associate. "
She turned towards the door biting her lips, " It would've changed nothing."
Oh but it would have changed everything, it would've given the boy or better, the man within him one last tug to change his damn decision back in the ally that faithful night.
" But, If it was us that were getting married would you still hid-"
"But its not us. Were not the ones getting married so it doesn't matter. At all."
He felt robbed of something that was never meant to be his not that he couldn't father his own children. While Raven she felt, Worng plain wrong. It would have been much better if she'd allowed the formerly given information to be hidden. For a mere duration of time they stood in silence much uncomfortable and colder than the one at the door.
He had no right to get mad. At least she hadn't cheated on him and left him for someone else. At least she hadn't quoted their relationship to be something she was randomly thrusted into for 7 long years.
Slowly he truned towards her again. A heavily guilty smile resting on his lips ,
" Im sorry. " Sorry for breaking ur heart, Sorry for ruining what could've been.
Surprisingly enough she gave him a small, sad smile of her own,
" Me too."

He walked through the hotel lawn once more but this time alone and covered in mud, completely oblivious of the forgotten clothes.
He was for sure the longing glance she'd given him before he'd walked out of her room would haunt him forever while his own would haunt her too.
As the balcony of his designated room came closer he noticed a lean, blond figure rapped in a bath robe heavily perched upon the marble grill.
"Dont tell me u went exploring behind the building only to get covered in mud cause asking me to do it with my powers (cover Beastboy in mud) would've been much easier. "
He gave a her playful smile, " Somebody seems to know alot of things around this place."
"Yup, I Sure do."
The afternoon sun lit Terra's skin in a hazy glow while the soft wind tousled her wet locks. She looked beautiful enough to make severeal heads turn yet something within his mind spitefully wispered, " Not beautiful enough to be compared to Raven tho."
