We all sat down near the pool and talked for a while. Them, out of nowhere, Maylea started with her idea.
"I don't know about you, but I don't want to live in this lab for the rest of my life. The Amazon rainforest about a quarter of a mile away from here. Let's go live there, together. Sirene, of course, you'll live in the ocean off the coast. We'll live close by and come to the shore often. You girls wanna do that?" Maylea said.
"Sure, how are we going to do that though? Won't someone see us?" I asked.
"Not if we leave at night, they won't," she replied, "we're leaving tonight, I'll explain the details in a bit but we have all day to plan this out."
"What lives in the jungle?" Sarina asked Maylea.
"Other wildlife, but we'll be the apex predators of the Amazon. We just can't be seen by explorers unless we capture them. I assume Azrael will be doing a lot of that, right?" Maylea said laughingly.
"I mean, is that what I'm supposed to do?" I asked her, "You created me so you should know."
"How am I gonna leave? I can't exactly walk out of here." Sirene said, "I can't go anywhere without your help, so... how are you gonna get me out? Plus, I have to be in water to breathe, so it doesn't seem like it'll work out for me."
"Oh yeah, right. Maylea how are we gonna get Sirene out?" Sarina asked her.
"I don't know, you or Azrael could carry her or something, I haven't thought that far ahead." She admitted.
"Or maybe you could fly her to the ocean. That's probably the easiest thing to do," I said, "you should probably learn at some point, it's kinda the gimmick of your existence."
"I don't want to risk dropping her, plus, my claws are razor sharp, so no matter how I grab her I'll cut her open." She stated. I don't know why, but she's holding out. She's organizing this escape and now she doesn't have the loose ends tied up and wants one of us to do it for her. I really wish Sirene didn't pick an aquatic creature. That makes it ten times harder.
"Okay, girls. Let's start planning this escape. We'll be free, forever," Maylea went on, "at 9:00 at night they lock the doors, but I still have a key to open the back door. Once everyone is gone, we'll go to the back door, open it, and leave. Sarina you'll want to duck. As for Sirene, there's a small cart we can fill with water that you can be in, but it'll be crammed. We'll drop you off first. Then, Azrael, Sarina and I will go into the jungle and live there. When we open the door it will sound an alarm. Luckily, nobody else in the facility knows we exist, so they won't notice our disappearances; except mine, but I had Dr. Lambrick put in my resignation letter, so they think I left, too. When we leave we will not be coming back, so make sure you have everything you would want to take with you. Do you have that?"
     "I think so," I said.
     "Pretty much," Sarina added.
"So I just chill until you get the cart? Sounds good to me," Sirene commented.
"And now, we wait." Maylea closed the team meeting. We were all nervous, but we knew we wanted to do it.
