"My Ray Of Sunshine"

Deku's POV

I wandered around the U.A campus, not really knowing what to do.

I had been turned into a cat, more specifically, a green kitten. A girl seemed to have a quirk that could change people into animals and was having a breakdown, but when I touched her I was immediately sent into this form.

Suddenly, I saw shoes in front of me and I was picked up, I hissed and scratched, instincts kicking in.

Then a deep, familiar chuckle blessed my ears, "Eh, feisty one aren't you? Don't worry, I won't hurt you. I'm just gonna take you back to my dorm."

I looked up to see... KACCHAN?! He had such a soft look on his face... huh, never knew he was an animal lover.

He carefully brought me back to his dorm and placed me on the bed. "I think I should have some snacks suitable for a cat in here... ah-hah! Jerky!"

My stomach growled at the thought of food. He seemed to have heard it and let out another chuckle. Dear All Might, I missed that noise. The thought crossed my mind and I barely even noticed it, but when I did, I realized... it was true. I had missed Kacchan's laughter and light chuckles.

He set down a few pieces of jerky in front of me, "Not much, but it's the only meat based snack I have."

I purred slightly, applying that I was happy with it.

He smiled at that.

It'd been so long since I had seen him smile.

I missed it.

"You like it? Good. You remind me of someone, y'know."

I cooked my head to the side, trying to show confusion. He chuckled, "You remind me of this kid in my class called Deku. Green fur and all. Hey, maybe I'll call you that. Deku."

I purred loudly. "Ok, so you like that. I'll keep that in mind."

Once he changed, which thank God for fur in those fleeting moments of me seeing his abs, he climbed into bed, but as I tried to move to the furthest corner from him, he pulled me back.

"Sleep on my pillow you dumb kitten. It'll be more comfortable." I cocked my head again, but didn't question it, so I curled up on Kacchan's pillow, right next to his head. His breathing lulled me to sleep, like a lullaby.

The next morning I woke up first, stretching and jumping off the pillow, trying to get a better look of Kacchan's room, as it was obviously dark the night before.

He woke up very soon after, giving me a soft look when he noticed me looking around.

A tall shelf that seemed to have things on top of it caught my eye, so I started trying to pounce to the top, unsurprisingly, that failed.

Kacchan chuckled, putting me on top. I noticed pictures, mostly. Huh. Kacchan must keep his valuables up here.

I first noticed a picture of him, Auntie Mitsuki, and Uncle Marsu. He took it off the shelf to show me better. "Those are my mom and old man. They're both pains in the ass but I love them to death."
