Luke's POV

Now it's Saturday, and me and Haley got over our little "fight" from the other day. We're all friends again, and the guys have barely even teased us once about liking each other since Wednesday. I probably just jinxed it, but oh well.

Me, Haley, and Michael are all sitting on the couch in the living room on our phones. Something's playing on tv but I'm not paying attention to what it is.

Calum comes walking downstairs with his bass, and I start to ask why, but then I remember.

"Shit!" I exclaim, more to myself than anyone else.

"What?" Haley says and gives me a puzzled look.

"I completely forgot to tell you, we have a gig tonight at some party."

"Oh, okay. Where is it?" She asks.

"Um, the next town over I think. I really don't even know." I answer and awkwardly laugh.

"We should practice." Calum speaks up.

"Nah." I say at the same time Haley says "Yeah!"

We look at each other and I say we don't need to practice, we already know the songs.

It's weird of me to say that since I love music, but we all know what happened last time I sung for Haley.

"Please? I want to hear you guys as a band." She pleads.

Soon enough Calum and Michael team up with Haley and say we should practice.

"Fine. But only one song." I mutter and me and Michael go upstairs to get our guitars. As I'm about to enter my room, I see Ashton heading downstairs with his box drum.

When I go back to the living room, Haley is sitting on the couch looking really excited.

"What song should we do?" I ask the lads.

"Rejects! Let's do Rejects!" Michael says excitedly.

"Wait." Calum says. "Luke, introduce us."

"Why? Haley alre-"

"Hi, we're 5 Seconds Of Summer and this is our song Rejects!" Ashton loudly cuts me off.

I roll my eyes and start to play.

Haley's POV

Luke starts the song. "Back at school,

They all thought I was an outcast car crash.

Hopeless fool, they said to me.

My girlfriend said I messed up, will I ever grow up?

In the end, I'm not gonna."

Now all of them sing the chorus:

"What was I thinking? Everyone sees it.

It's not a secret that I'm just a reject.

Sick of the system, don't wanna hear it.

It's not a secret that I'm just a reject.

I'm just a reject."

Now Michael starts his part:

"My teacher said I was mentally disabled, so unstable.

So I'd stay in bed all day.

Save your breathe

You can talk at me but I'm not listening.

If this is a test, I'm probably failing."
