Following the trail

Alfie's pov

"Alfie wake up, Alfie.."Marcus said shaking me slightly.

"What time is it?"I said stretching and sitting up.

"Like 9."he answered quickly

"Then why the fuck are you waking me up?!"I asked

"There's something happening in the hallway."he said

"So?!"I said exasperated

"Oh come on let's go see what's happening."he said dragging me out of bed.
So we walked out into the hallway, the first thing I seen was Zoe with her back to us staring intently at something on the floor.

"I just don't understand how there can be a trail of blood from the kitchen to here!"Tanya exclaimed

"Me neither but the blood appears to be going up the stairs."Zoe said they still hadn't noticed us.

"What are you guys saying about blood?"I asked cautiously

"We went to get some food but seen some blood on the ground ."Zoe answered

"Weird where does the trail finish?"Marcus asked

"We don't know yet we think it goes upstairs but we're only on the 1st floor so we don't know how high up."Tanya replied

"Well why don't we follow the trail?"I asked even though I wasn't particularly fond of following trails of blood.

So we walked slowly up the stairs and knocked on the first door which happened to lead to dan and phils room.

"Yes???"phil mumbled opening the door and sticking his head out.

"Good morning sorry to wake you up but we kind of have a trail of blood causing concern."Zoe said pointing to the trail

"Oh ehm I'll wake up dan."he replied going back into the room and returning to the hall with a very tired dan.

"Hey look!"Marcus exclaimed pointing outside caspars room.

There was a little puddle where the blood appeared to stop moving continued up the stairs.

I knocked on the door and Caspar came out a minute later.

"Hi guys whats happeni...why is there blood outside my door?"he asked confused.
"We don't know we were wondering if you did?"I asked him"because it seems to pool outside your door then goes up the stairs."

"I have no clue."Caspar replied

"Well the only other person in the house is Troye so do you know anything about him?"Marcus asked from behind me.

"Last night I got woken up by someone coming up the stairs and I went to see who it was and it was Troye with a jar of Nutella on his phone it was about 5 and he didn't look like he was going to sleep anytime soon so he stopped and talked to me for a while before going up stairs."Caspar finished now looking towards the stairs.

"Okay we should go see Troye then and see if he's okay."Zoe replied making her way up the stairs.

So we followed her up the stairs Before Caspar stopped us.

"I'd feel bad waking him up he's only been asleep a couple hours."

"Caspar would you rather wake him up now or wait till later and find a murder scene?"Zoe said with her hand on the door knob.

Caspar nodded as Zoe opened the door. The first thing I noticed was that the room looked almost untouched, the bed was made identically to the way they had looked when we arrived at the house, the desk had his laptop, his camera and a set of car keys on it and the chair had his bag on it.
