It was Friday night, and you were feeling like you deserved a night on the town all to yourself. Your teaching for the week was successful, and you even reprimanded multiple villains over the week as well. A good drink or two was deserved, so you hit up your favourite bar after changing at your shared home with Toshinori. You told him that you would be safe for his sake, as you knew that he tended to worry when you were out alone at night. You kissed him goodbye, and headed out on your personal night out, feeling that it was well deserved, and a little excited since you haven't done this in quite a while.
In the beginning of the night, all was fine and casual with light drinking, enjoying your time out. The bar you were at was quite close to home, so you were well known in the area for both your heroic acts and how easy you were to approach on the street. Old friends were there, and most of them bought you a drink for old times sake as you enjoyed the night. The closer you got to one a.m. though, the more drunk you got, and by the time it was one-thirty, you had one too many drinks and ended up getting a little more intoxicated than anticipated.
Standing up straight soon became an issue, and you knew it was time for you to go. Even among friends, this level of intoxication wasn't safe at all. You hobbled your way into a quiet corner of the bar as best you could, using tables and chairs as supporting items along the way. As soon as you leaned against the corner away from the crowd, you immediately pulled out your phone and called Toshinori, knowing full well that you were going to need his help getting back home.
Everything came out quite slurred over the phone, but Toshi could easily understand your request. The bar you were at was close, so he was already on his way by foot when the call ended. You definitely had way too much to drink, as you barely got your phone back in your pocket properly. A hangover was definitely on its way, and you had to get as much rest as possible if you were going to come back from this weekend alive.
You decided to walk yourself outside the bar to make yourself easier to find. Though it may not be far from home, you definitely needed help getting there. Leaning up against the concrete wall for support, you watched the streets for that familiar fluffy yellow hair to take you home. Everything was quite a blur though, so you hardly realized it when he finally did show up, tapping you gently on the shoulder to get your attention.
"_______, it's time to go home." Toshinori spoke gently, shifting your weight from the wall to his shoulders.
"Mmm, yeah. Sorry." You said, feeling bad for being so messed up. You stumbled quite a bit, putting the both of you off balance. He quickly opted to carry you home instead, earning one more apology from you as you snuggled into his grip. "Sorry for being dumb."
"You called for me, and that makes you pretty damn smart." He said simply, carrying you back home through the streets.
The walk was short of course, and you were soon inside the warmth of your own home with Toshinori. Through tired eyes, you watched as you were carried through the house and to your bed, any dirty clothes being removed from you as he tucked you in, a glass of water already waiting for you on the nightstand beside you.
"You should get some sleep now _______. You're going to need it to avoid a killer headache when you wake up." Toshinori told you, sitting next to you on the bed,
You began to mutter in slight protest, not wanting to sleep quite yet. "Toshi, thank you for coming. Thank you for putting up with my shit. You're so amazing." You eventually said clearly, speech still slightly slurred.
"Oh this is nothing. You've put up with my negativity and hero dilemma for a long time with unwavering love. The least I can do is make sure that the love of my life get's home safely." He chuckled, watching you with loving eyes.
Hearing those loving words made your eyes water, and in your drunken and emotional state you cried softly, overwhelmed with happiness. "God I love you so much. Oh my god. You're so perfect. How did I manage to get someone like you in my life." You babbled through your tears.
Toshinori shushed you, gently stroking your hair until you calmed down. He was quite surprised that you cried over his love for you and couldn't help but smile. He kissed you gently to calm your nerves, your body and mind soon growing tired as your breathing slowed.
"Go to sleep, vodka breath. You're brushing your teeth the moment you wake up." He chuckled.
"Ok. But only if you can guess the flavour." You said quietly in a playful tone.
"Blueberry." He answered easily, the taste of it from the kiss still lingering on his lips.
"You're so amazing." You said once again in a tired tone. "It's a deal then."
"Good." He said, stroking your cheek gently with his thumb as your eyes son fluttered shut.
One of your hands held onto his as your breathing slowed, finally letting sleep take hold of you. You fell asleep content with yourself, happy that you were home safe with the one person that you loved with all your heart.
