I Love You.. Just Kidding!

audition.

Jose placed the phone to his ear, as his heart began to skip a couple of beats. Standing in front of the window to glance at the moonlight in order to calm himself down as he waits for the voice on the other side of the phone.

Then, there it is.

"Hello?"

The brunette flinched at the unfamiliar voice, and he took a deep breath before responding back.

"Hi, this Jose Salazar and I'm calling for Mr. Grant Henry."

The phone suddenly yelled.

"OH MY GOD IT FUCKING WORKED!"

Jose immediately checked his phone if he did called the right number because it'll be extremely embarrassing if he didn't, but he did. He pressed the phone back against his ear as the caller continued.

"Listen I'm a huge fan, and you're just in time as I'm currently in the middle of a meeting."

The brunette raised a brow. Should he apologize for interrupting or?

"What do you mean?"

"Look, I'm doing a new movie and I was wondering if you're interested in applying for one of the parts?" 

This is it. This is the moment Jose has been wishing to avoid of and hoping for it to happen at the same time. He wasn't sure what to answer. It's been years since he did something related to acting as he clearly despises it, but then he remembered what Isaac just said a couple of minutes ago.

"You'll never know what changes will happen when you try. You have nothing to lose."

"Hello? Jose?"

"O-Oh, yes. Sorry, I was thinking about it."

"Well, what do you say?"

It's been years since he did acting. His father might've already forgotten about them, so there's no problem in getting back to acting right? 

Jose took a deep breath once again.

"I'm in."

The sound of excitement has been heard on the other side of the phone. Then..he also heard people cheering? Oh yeah, he was indeed in the middle of a meeting.

It made the brunette smile and chuckle. It feels great for him to hear other people being happy, it's contagious. 

"So what's it called?" Jose asked, with his hand on the side of his own waist. Feeling quite confident about this as he's experienced with acting for years.

"The movie's called I Love You, Just Kidding."

...Hold on. Did he just confess and made it a joke?

"Wait what?"

"You thought I was confessing?" Jose heard the male laugh. Did they seriously pick a title this crazy?

"Wait, how did you-"

"Exactly."

They did planned this out.

"Well..that's quite a long title. So do you need a second male role for a love triangle? Do you need a guy best friend for her? A third wheeler? A cock blocker? What's gonna happen?"

"Actually, it has nothing to do with straight romance. It's actually a movie about gay romance."

"Gay romance?"

"Gay romance."

"You do know that this is Jose Salazar, right?"

"You're funny man. Listen, we already got the main roles, but we need somebody to be the straight supportive character for these two mains. Will you audition for the part?"

The word sent a shiver down to the brunette's spine. 

It reminded him of the past auditions he had. Sure, they say Jose loves being in a lot of theater plays but what they didn't know is that they have to audition in order to get those roles.

And being in those auditions, they sure like to treat you like spoiled milk. Even when you did your hardest, it wont impress them that much. 

One time, Jose had one of the worst auditions where you have to act like a zombie for a zombie apocalypse play. And he did his best, trying not to act stupid in front of three people. After the audition, they ignored the male's questions and asked him to leave which made him feel even worse.

Going back to the dorms crying and kicking the bed.

But after all of that dramatic crying, in the end he was chosen to take the role.

Jose was about to decline, but he realized he had to look at this in a different perspective. Yeah, sure, he is scared of auditions but he is being contacted by Grant Henry himself. There must be a reason why he was chosen for this. 

So, he decided. 

"Sure. I'll be there, okay?" He sure do hope things are different now since his last audition.

"Brad, you nailed that audition." Niko, with the nickname "Super Agent", was in the phone. 

It was the usual Sunday morning two days later, but Jose was munching on his favorite meal rewarded by one and only Isaac as he drives him home. He's in the middle of working but he has a big heart on taking Jose home since the both of them really hate commuting.

Just the taste of four cheese whopper, regular fries, and Sprite on his side made his life even better. His phone was hanging on to his shoulder, pressing the phone against his ear while both of his hands were occupied.

"I now mright?" 

"What did you do?"

"Mwell.."

Flashback..

The nervous Jose followed the receptionist to the auditioning room. Mentally preparing himself in each step they took. 

'This is it, Jose. Don't mess it up. You've been in a lot of auditions and this is one of them.'  The male thought.

The receptionist left the male as he enters the room. Seeing three men were pretty busy in their papers, so Jose entered and closed the door before greeting them in an unreadable expression.

"Hello."

Suddenly, the three men jumped up as they heard the comedian's voice.

"JOSE!"

And they ran to Jose, taking out phones to take pictures with the dumbfounded man. So dumbfounded that he didn't even realize he's now in a room with four men with phones in front of them since the receptionist came in to join the hilarious moment.

'Well this is different.'  The  male thought.

After the "photoshoot", Jose began to ask about the audition. Then, they started to explain that this is all just a formality. Since Jose showed up then it is now officially his' even if he didn't audition. They also called Niko, his agent, so everything is all settled.

That shocked Jose, he didn't even know being contacted by someone famous and auditioning for it would be this easy.

Present..

Jose swallowed the chewed food before he responded. "I took pictures!" The male could hear the man in the driver's seat laughing.

"You better prepare yourself for photoshoots because this is now your very first role in your very first movie." Niko said.

Now that he thought about it, it is sure his very first role in his very first movie. This is going to be exciting. He felt like memories began to resurface and his happiness grew.

Isaac turned to the grinning male, which he smiled back. It is rare to see Jose like this in his true self. Not as a comedian, but as Jose himself. It's a wonderful feeling to help a best friend, especially if he really did love acting so much.

Jose hung up the phone and continued eating his meal. His day wouldn't get any better than this alright. 

"This movie better be worth it." Jose muttered with a wide smile on his face.
