Mauni woke up before Martin, and stared at him. The wood elf never really payed attention to how absolutely pale she is compared to him. Holding up a dainty hand to his peaceful face, Mauni furrowed her brows at the huge difference.
Before she could pull her hand away, Martin grabbed ahold of her arm in a sleepy state and cuddled it to his chest, like a child would do to a teddy bear. Not sure what to do, Mauni just layed there, hoping the man would wake up soon.
Since Mauni had no knowledge of sexual or friendly touching, she wasn't bothered at all by Martin basically spooning her slim arm. Her bluish eyes examined the man once more before closing her eyes, hoping to at least get a little more hours of sleep in.
Mauni could feel the depression in the bed shifting as Martin let her arm go. The young wood elf opened her eyes, only to find Martin was staring at what seemed like to be her soul.
"Sorry," He mumbled quietly before shifting up to sit on the bed. Mauni followed in suit and sat in front of him, grabbing the sticks on the table and pulling her soft locks up into a stick twist.
"It's not light out yet, so if you want to go down and eat some breakfast, we can," Mauni said with her usual emotionles expression before getting up and slipping her sandals on.
Martin just simply nodded and followed her out of the room and walked down the stairs. Mauni wobbled a little due to her tired legs but soon stabled herself at the last step.
The man just chuckled silently and sat down in a chair, waiting for his young friend to buy them some edible food.
Mauni came back and set down some bread, cheese, apples, and pears, as well as two cups of water. Smiling hungrily at the food, Mauni grabbed a piece of cheese greedily and stuffed it into her mouth, feeling her stomach being filled for the first time in awhile.
Martin was taken back by her horrible table skills but decided to ignore them, or atleast try to ignore them. After all, she was his and Kvatch's savior.
For a sickly skinny young woman, Mauni sure could eat a lot. The wood elf just simply smiled and took a sip from her water before moving on to the fruit.
"Do you ever wear armor? Martin asked before picking up an apple and taking a small bite from it.
"Nope, I don't like feeling all bulky, so I usually just wear light armor greaves and either sandals or boots, and a shirt. I'm not really an armor kind of girl." Mauni smiled before eating a pear and a slice of cheese together.
Martin understood her point. Armor was after all, quite bulky and sometimes uncomfortable.
"Do you know a lot about magic?" Martin asked, done eating due to being full.
"Oh yeah, lots! I'm what you would call a healer... Yeah that's it, my class is a healer. Growing up, I would often sleep in some of the mage guilds'. They accepted me with open arms due to my excelent aptitude for it. Although necromancy scares me... But I barely use magic in public out of fear for people accusing me of being a necromancer. I guess it's a stupid fear," She said, giggling a bit at the memories of her a young child and accidentally catching some forests on fire.
"That shouldn't stop you, if what you say is true... Then you have exceptional gifts. You shouldn't hide them, Mauni." Martin said with a small smile.
Mauni couldn't help but smile along with her newly found 'friend'. Huh, that was a weird thing for Mauni to even think about. She's never had a friend. The wood elf softly put down her bread and nodded.
"You are the first person to ever be so kind to me." She said before reaching for her knapsack and putting the straps around her shoulders.
"Whenever you're ready, we will leave. It shouldn't take long to get there... Hopefully." Mauni said before twiddling her thumbs and poking at her food with bony fingers.
