Secrets (Brennen Taylor)

The sparks, they flew

It's almost 7:30 and the party is suppose to start at 8. I'm finishing my makeup when I hear my phone go off.

Brennen: Hey is it okay if I park my car in your driveway?

Julia: Ya sure!

Brennen: Okay I'm on my way.

Julia: If your early you can come inside if you want:)

I press send and I'm immediately nervous. Was that too much? I mean I just met the guy. The anxiety was killing me. A second later I hear my phone buzz again.

Brennen: Well then I guess I will be coming super early ;) I'm on my way right now. See ya in a little bit!

I sighed in relief. And then reread the message realizing that he wanted to hang out with me. I smiled immediately.

*5 minutes later*

I hear a car pull into the driveway so I started to head for the door. By the time he was at the door step I opened it.

"Hello" I said in a fancy butler type way.

"Hi...wow...um...you look....gorgeous" he said getting red.

"Thanks!" I say blushing, "Please come inside!" I said gesturing toward the living room.

He comes inside and sits on the couch. He glances at his phone to see what time it was.

"Well it's pretty much 8 but if you want I would much rather stay here for a bit." He said being unsure of what I would say.

"Ya totally, that's what I was thinking. Let me just tell Chloe that we will meet her there." I said kinda smiling because I knew that meant I would get to spend time with Brennen and that made me super exited.

I quickly run up the stairs to tell Chloe. As I walked in she was just finishing her makeup. She looked stunning in her white shorts and gold tank top and her cute sandals.

"Ya ready to go?" She asked.

"Is it okay if Brennen and I catch up with you at the party, we want to stay here for a little bit?" I asked.

"Ooooh, suurrreee!" She said teasing me, since she always knew that I was really bad around guys so she knows that when I actually have a chance not to get in the way.

She grabbed her purse and skipped down the stairs, waved hi to Brennen and then walked out the back door and through the bushes to the beach and the party was right there.

I walked back to Brennen and sat down next to him.

"You want to watch a movie?" I asked him.

"Sure, what do you want to watch?"

"Umm.. don't judge me but I kinda want to watch starwars. Ya I'm kinda a geek when it comes to that." I said kinda shyly.

"OH MY GOD I LOVE STARWARS!!" He basically screamed. "Sorry.. I'm just kinda obsessed"

"It's okay. Let's just watch it!" I say popping in the movie. I go to the kitchen and grab some popcorn and I microwave it an bring it back into the living room.

After about 30 min I feel Brennen put his arm around me. I start to snuggle into his chest and it feels so perfect. He looks down at me and smiles with his hot af eyes. He kisses my forehead.

"I would love I stay like this forever" he says. I nod in agreement. I check my phone to see what time it was. 11:55.

"Brennen it's 11:55, want me to grab a bottle of sparkling grape juice?" I ask knowing that we didn't want to go to the party.

"Sure but hurry up!" He said as I was getting up.

I run to the kitchen and grab a couple of glasses and the bottle and run back into the living room. Brennen was changing the tv to be on the tv countdown.

I open the bottle and pour the juice into the glasses. He grabs one right as the final countdown begins.

"10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, HAPPY NEW YEAR!" We scream. Brennen immediately grabbed me and pulled me in for a kiss. Our lips moved in sync. I felt sparks flying all through my body. It felt amazing, like I've been missing this all my life. We pull away and he looks me in the eyes as he whispers to me, "Happy New Years." then he returns to kissing me.

This night has been so magical.
