Darkness

We reached the Dark Island and the ninjas started covering the Bounty with sand and trees to keep us hidden from the Stone Warriors. They were patrolling the island constantly, we all had to be cautious leaving the ship.

I hate this island! The dark energy all around me is suffocating. I don't think the others notice it which makes sense, but doesn't mean I like it.

It's like the darkness here is in veins pulsing underground. I can almost feel it. It's all drawing to a source of darkness. I wonder what that much darkness can do? What the purpose is?

I hear the ninja talking outside my window.

"This whole island is filled with Garmadon's indestructible army." Kai says, coming back from patrol.

"Good thing we're ninja and know how to hide!" Jay says, proudly looking at the work of they did hiding the Bounty.

"Who wants to hide when you can fight? I'm tired of having my head buried in the sand. I wanna fight these guys!" Cole says

"But Cole, they have no apparent weakness. It would be unwise to start a fight we cannot finish." Zane says

Sensei Wu joins them outside. "That is why we must find The Temple it Light. Come, Misako has found something else in the scrolls."

All of us meet in the bridge. Misako has another scroll rolled out on the table.

This is honestly the last thing I want to be apart of right now considering this is the plan on how I'm going to transfer my powers to Lloyd. Don't get me wrong, I want my father to be defeated and not turn Ninjago into his image, but I don't want to lose my powers in the process.

"The scrolls say there is a hidden temple on the island. If you find it, it will give the ninja pure elemental powers. Powers that can destroy the indestructible army." She explains to us

"You're saying we get to fight? Oh, I've got happy feet!" Cole exclaims

"Yeah, I'm sure you're all thrilled!"

I roll my eyes and direct my attention back to the scrolls.

"And you, my son, here it is written: "For once the Green Ninja finds the instrument of peace, he will strike it and know the power of the Ultimate Spinjitzu Master."

"Ultimate Spinjitzu Master?" My brother asks

"It means you will be able to invoke the power got the Golden Dragon. An ancient fighting style only practiced by the First Spinjitzu Master... however, this can only be achieved when the transfer is complete." Misako finishes awkwardly

Everyone was quiet for a few seconds, probably glancing at me to see if my eyes changed colors or not. But I don't know for sure because I never took my eyes off the scroll.

"So uh... what do we do then?" Kai asks

"First we must find the temple, it could be anywhere on the island and all we have is this." Wu says and pulls out a small golden circle with a dragon design, along with 3 holes in it.

"A medallion!" Dr. Julien says, "it's like a compass. When the 3 holes line up, the medallion will reveal where the temple is hidden."
