Darkness

So here's what happened after Lloyd passed out.

The Overlord was about to use the weapon on Lloyd which would've hit Sensei, Misako and I as well, but Zane's dad, who was flying the Bounty over to us, blocked the dark missiles.

Then the Overlord took his stone army to Ninjago through a portal, but no one really knows how they created it.

The person I heard screaming "no" turned out to be Kai. I guess he tried to make it through the portal, but didn't get there in time.

"What would you have done even if you did? You'd be the only one to make it back." I said

"I would've figured it out."

I roll my eyes.

They also told us about their fight with Nya. How they used their elemental blades to distract her and get her out of the way without hurting her. And Zane eventually was able to trap her in a dome of ice. But she broke out and went through the portal with the Overlord.

So now we are all stuck on the Dark Island with no way off because the Bounty, like I said, took the blunt of the missile and crashed. It's completely destroyed.

Sensei told us not to go near it because the darkness could still be lingering and we could be effected by it as well.

We all sat on the beach and looked towards Ninjago. We couldn't make anything out of it though because it was all surrounded by a cloud of darkness. I felt the same draw to it that I did when we first got to the Dark Island.

The evil is still prominent here, the whole thing still having concentrated evil running through it. This is the substance that turn Nya evil. And then, having inspected the missiles, we discovered that the concentrated evil is what is inside the bombs for the Ultimate Weapon. Which means the weapon has more than likely turned everyone in Ninjago evil as well.

No wonder I felt drawn back there.

Lloyd was a little ways away from us with Dr. Julien, who was wrapping his broken leg.

They were talking, but I couldn't hear them. I could only to hear Lloyd suddenly groaning in pain, his eyes shut tight.

"The battle between good and evil will be decided today." Sensei Wu says calmly

"And we can't even get to the fight. Much less get off this island." Kai says angrily, throwing a rock into the ocean.

Jay sighs, "I wonder if I'll ever see Nya again." He says sadly

Zane puts a hand on his shoulder, "perhaps it is best to think of our friends as we remember them in our hearts, not how they are now."

"But we don't remember our father any other way." I say, then turn and realize Lloyd and Julien were joining us, Lloyd leaning against him. And Lloyd said this in unison with me.

"Your father loved you two. It was the evil of the Great Devourer that corrupted him." Misako says

"Sensei, I don't understand." Kai jumps in, changing the subject, "the prophecy said the Green Ninja would defeat the Dark Lord." Then throws another stone, this time skipping it across the surface, "why didn't we win?" He asks

"I... don't know." Wu responds, looking down.

"Don't know?!" Jay asked amazed, "you're Sensei. You always know. You've got a long white beard!"

"There must be some message to learn. A lesson. A word of wisdom... just a word? Something!" Kai says desperately

"For once, I'm afraid there is nothing to learn. Only that evil has one." He says looking back towards the clouds surrounding Ninjago.
