Another morning of waking up early and the harsh words from Austin as usual. I liked him but didn’t show it, I just threw back more harsh words. I only knew Of Mice & Men because of Alan and me were best friends in high school and still are today. Ever since I could I learned guitar. It kept me occupied and I really enjoyed it. So when Alan had a place to be a guitar tech with them, so why not. Tino and Phil had become good friends with me but Austin, well; he had become worse every day!

“Hey Bailey, could you tune Alan’s guitar for him? Phil called from the back. I snapped out from my thoughts and went to grab his guitar. Austin came out the bathroom. For once he was silent to me. I breathed out the breath I didn’t even know I was holding. They were going on stage in a few hours and I was going to be busy until then, hopefully out of Austin’s way.

“Morning Bailey.” Tino chirped as I picked up Alan’s guitar. I smiled, then wandered back out to the front lounge of the bus. Austin was there. Dammit man, leave me be! His eyes were enchanting, a brown colour like mine. They were deep in thought. Beautiful and magical. Snap out of it Bailey! The guitar didn’t take too long to tune, which was lucky for me, as I didn’t want to sit under the gaze of Austin. I shuffled in my seat. Man his eyes were beautiful but his gaze was like death.

I stood and put it on the guitar rack. Where was Alan? He had noticed Austin acting differently. But still, he couldn’t do anything about it. Whenever Austin spoke, butterflies filled my stomach, even if they were mean words. Something just wasn’t right with me was there? I like a guy, who is famous and is horrible to me. Is that supposed to happen?

I was waiting with Alan at the side of the stage. They were going to be on in a few songs. Alan put his arm over my shoulder. “You alright?” He asked. I nodded and smiled at him. The good thing was I got to be onstage with Of Mice & Men. It was fun actually.

“Yeah.” Alan looked at me, seriously for once. “No.” I sighed when tears rimed my eyes, fuzzing up my vision slightly.

“Hey come here.” Alan took me in his arms. Man I loved him, as a friend, of course. The hug lasted about a minute or so. Alan peeled himself from my arms and looked at me. “I’ll try and speak to him.” He lent in and kissed my forehead. I let a weak smile pass my lips. Alan wandered off in to the darkness of backstage. Another sigh came out. I don’t think I’m going to enjoy the rest of the tour at the moment.

If Austin can sort himself out and grow a pair, maybe we could tolerate each other a small bit.

Or maybe I just leave them and only speak to Alan.

Naa, that won’t work.

Someone help me!

Someone tapped me on the shoulder. I turned around, arms hugging my waist. Austin.

“If you are coming to mock me, I don’t want it.” I simply stated and pushed past him, bumping in to his arm along the way. My wrist was grabbed, and I was spun round.

“Alan spoke to me.” I shrugged hi hand of my wrist and placed my arms back where they were. “I’m sorry. It’s really hard for me to tell someone that…” He took a deep breath and looked up at the ceiling like he was praying. “It’s really hard for me to tell someone I like them.” Was he saying what I thought he was saying?

“Well you sure do choose a hurtful way to show it.” I mumbled to myself.

“Hey look I’m sorry. It’s not my fault I messed my whole life up and then a beautiful girl shows up and I battle with myself to see what I should do.” My heart shattered. Damn Austin, you make any girl melt inside. I looked at him. My arms snaked around his neck, my lips grazed his. Austin placed his hands on my waist and proceeded to kiss me. His lips were soft and silky. Who’da thought, to people who think they hate each other are very much in love.

~There we go. Finally... I'm sorry it took so long. Just been busy. But here it is, as promised. Please comment or message me if you would like to have one written for!~
