Walking through the corridors of her school Lia was yet again captured by his entrancing beauty. Deep-set eyes, prominent cheekbones, and a jawline so sharp it could cut. Her eyes lazily drifted back to her best friend beside her who haven't yet put a full stop to her non-stop rambling.

"You know what, I'm pretty sure your entire being zeroed in on Taeyong again and I was talking to the oxygen particles in the air for the past half an hour. I think it'd be better if we go have lunch about now before I further humiliate myself.", Rhea said emphasising the last sentence with air quotations and rolling her eyes.

Lia stuck her tongue out childishly, her eyes wandering to the ground somewhat embarassed.

Lia had always had her eyes set on Taeyong, even before he got into the school basketball team, before he became one of the school's arrogant playboys, before he started hanging out with those flower boys. And for some reason, her petty crush hasn't found an end for the whole of 4 years since she joined this school even though they never had any moments that you could point out as 'romantic' except for the occassional eye contacts which she quite sure is a coincidence.

Having lunch alongside Rhea, Lia watched Taeyong and the boys entering the cafeteria, chuckling at something Yuta said and rolling his eyes. Until his gaze travelled to her, Lia kept her face emotionless, trying to keep her cool although her heart was pounding inside her ribcage. He sheepishly shifted his gaze from her, getting seated for lunch.

"I'm coming to your place today, it's been a while since we had a sleepover.", Lia yawned in the middle of her maths class. Rhea was quite the talker, but she got perfect grades everytime, and with good reason. Lia was a different story.

"I'm willing to punch you and not give two shits if you keep up your blabber. Let me listen to the class, you chipmunk.", Rhea said baring her teeth.

"But why would they need alphabets, we have infinite numbers for godsake. Math is so overrat-", Lia's banter came to a halt as the bell rang. She looked pleased with herself for getting out of the classroom without losing her last two braincells while Rhea looked like she wanted to hit something. And the something was undoubtedly Lia.

Walking while keeping up their banter, Lia suddenly walked into someone, hitting her face square on their chest and was about to fall when an arm snaked onto her waist holding her in place.

"I know that you were kinda trying to hit on me from the way you were looking at me. But I didn't mean it literally.", Taeyong whispered nearly giving Lia a heart-attack. But she composed herself and that's when the context of what he said dawned on her.

Lia raised her brows at him, even though she felt like she could pass out at any moment because of their close proximity. "You definitely look like someone I'd hit gladly. If you don't take your hands off of me now, it could be now.", she said impishly.

Forget the crush, she don't back down or lose all that easily in an argument, and people that knows her knows that by now. He defintely doesn't seem to.

Taeyong was stunned at the way she reacted, he was pretty sure she was one of the fangirls but he did not give anything away with his facial features, he was good at keeping the poker face. His hands slowly retracted away from her waist and he tsked rolling his eyes. Lia was momenterily caught off gaurd by how beautiful he looked even while rolling his eyes but averted her gaze.

Taeyong noticed this exchange and was slightly smirking, "Sure princess, now if you could move away from in front of me, I think I have places to be other than letting you enjoy 'this' view.", he said indicating to himself.

A sudden burst of colour evaded her face quite evidently, and she chuckled loudly to cover up. "Whatever helps you sleep at night.", she said winking at him and moving away from Taeyong's track of vision.

Lia had trouble walking straight with the thoughts running inside her head. "What the hell was that?", Rhea deadpanned.

"At least a nice thank you could have did you know, since he held you from falling down face first into the cafeteria tiles and the fact that you can't take his eyes off of him."

Lia scoffed, "If it was you, you probably would have rolled your eyes and clicked your tongue telling him to go get a life if he told you what he did to me. He is just a little huge in the head."

"You are right, but since the guy in front of me looked like a living greek god I probably would have refrained myself. Now look for some other guys for you to crush on. I'm pretty sure you blew your chance off with that one."

"I do not like him. He is just easy on the eyes.", Lia said, shrugging while Rhea laughed clutching her stomach, wiping off invisible tears from her eyes.

"That was the best joke I've heard this entire year.", Rhea said ignoring the glares from her best friend.
