Yesterday was a mess and Lia had no idea how to face Taeyong. It happened in the spur of the moment, she'd dare not think about meeting him and keeping up the brave facade.
Lia was getting agitated about coming across him again. Rhea wasn't too much of an emotional support either, randomly mumbling about how much of an introvert she is (which Lia claimed she is) to go casually kissing strangers.
The girls in the cheerleading team glared at her at every passing opportunity reminding her of her not-so-virtuous incident over and over again.
Laying her head on he cafeteria table, Lia sighed.
How stupid can she get? He is the Lee Taeyong, uni's beloved playboy, the cheerios' sweetheart. He plays with heart, he does not get played.
She was pulled away from her thoughts when she got literally pulled away from the chair, her feet stumbling at the force of the pull.
Rhea stood fuming, hands at her hips, an unmistakable scowl on her face, stance the stubborn girl she is.
"You did what you did. Now stop being a coward and come along. I'm starving."
Rhea's brutal honesty and stubbornness was one of the many things Lia saw dear in her best friend. But at this point she didn't completely know if it was a good thing.
Looking back at it, Lia knew that from hat day on a part of her knew there was no backing down now. And that what follows after was heartbreak undoubtedly. He is a playboy after all. But that didn't stop her from saying what her heart wanted. Him.

After getting her food and passing by Taeyong's table she knew something was bound to happen. But strangely enough nothing did. She was confused to say the least, a hidden part of her heart even a little disappointed.
She sat on her usual table along with Rhea. Her gaze fixed on the food in front of her, her mind wandering.
A snap of fingers in front of her brought her out of her reverie. And there he stood, his eyes slightly squinted and a little teasing smile plastered on to his face.
Lia clenched her fists in her lap to keep it from shaking but nonetheless her face void of any emotion except maybe a little bit of boredom.
"What?", she deadpanned, eyes never leaving his.
"Would you mind being my girlfriend?"
The abrupt question made her breathe hitch, her stomach doing wild somersaults, her palms sweating. She was struggling to keep her cool, to not lose this game he is playing at. Because surely this is a game. Everything is, when it comes to him.
"What are you playing at?"
"I asked you if you could be my girlfriend. Pretend of course.", he whispered the last part.
"Why me of all the people?", Lia was yet again confused by his actions and a slight bit hurt.
"Because I'm sure all the other girls would be hard for me to get rid of after I get what I want. While you, I don't know.. you don't look like the clingy type."
"What do you want then?"
He shifts gazing at her eyes, and not anywhere else but her blue doe eyes.
Taeyong thought replying back with you but decided against it since he thought it was kinda cringy and they were talking business right now.
"I want to get rid of my ex. She just doesn't get the hint. Seeing me with another girl might tick her off", Taeyong shrugs, like telling her it is the usual deal.
Lia rolled her eyes so hard she was surprised it didn't come off. "And what makes you think I'd accept your..... offer?"
He smiles, this time a genuine one, eyes turning to slits and mouth curving to it's fullest. For a moment, she got lost in this entrancing trance. And then his face turned stoic, finger pointing at her face.
"This is why. You act like I don't affect you. But I do. Like I do with every other girl.", his smile turned cocky, but his eyes still wandered on her delicate features. Beautiful. And she isn't even trying all that much.
Taeyong blinked, suddenly aware of how close he was leaning towards her face.
Lia looked confused. The man in front of her was a puzzle she could never solve.
And she intended doing just that."I will. Be your girlfriend.", she mumbled, a small blush creeping up her cheeks.
Taeyong stood gaping for a minute before he looked at her with the infamous I-told-you-so smile.
"We would need to do somethings the couples do.", he says wiggling his eyebrows.
"I mean, sure."
Taeyong stood gaping when she left the table with her best friend without another word. Nonetheless, a small smile made it's way onto his face.
