Just as I am about to sign the bottom of my letter, screams erupt from outside my door. I'm never one to sit back and just let things happen so of course I get up and carefully press my ear against the door. I can't hear anything but the shear panic in the crew's voices. The screams grow louder as the sways left; so much so I loose my footing and am thrown against the wall. Soon enough the ship sways so far right, I slide across the floor towards the other wall. Why is no one coming to let me out? I make my way back to the door and begin pounding on it.

"Someone let me out!" I plea, praying someone will hear me.

Just as I hear the jingle of keys in the lock, the ship sways again. I hold on tightly to the door handle, refusing to be thrown against the wall again. That was the wrong decision. Just as the ship was fully swayed right, the door opened causing me to hit the wall. I swear this day can not get any worse. But it does. When the ship is level again, Killian peaks his head in the door and bursts out laughing at my disheveled state. I get up and brush myself off. As I walk out the door I make sure to stomp on his boot making him cringe in pain. Just a small victory for myself.

As I emerge on deck, I notice everyone is still running around frequently. I search for someone who may be able to give me answers because I sure as hell will not ask Killian. A young man is tying down some crates near by and looks the least creepy out of everyone.

"Excuse me, sir?"

"Miss, you should not be up here. A storms a brewin'."

That would explain why the ship was so unstable. I notice the man is fumbling with the rope while trying to keep the crates from sliding.

"Hand me some rope."

He eyes me skeptically, shrugs and hands me rope. I move to the other side of the crates and begin to tie knots around them as Ben had taught me to do. The man and I finish at the same and he strolls over to inspect my work.

"Not too bad for a girl." he smirks but seems genuinely impressed.

"Well, I can't say that I always follow tradition."

His smile widens as he extends his hand.

"Pleasure to have ya aboard miss. Names John. It's nice to have a pair of helpin' hands aboard for once."

"Julie and it's my pleasure."

I'm suddenly spun around, coming face to face with Killian.

"Now Love, if your little adventure is over, you best go back in the room."

"I'm not going anywhere, especially with the likes of you!"

Just as Killian began reaching towards me, there was a loud crash. Killian, John and I froze and looked towards where the noise came from. There at the head of the ship, it was split in two due to colliding with a rock, causing the head to descend into the water.
