I sit staring blankly at the notes that appear on the page before me. My hands flow effortlessly over the piano keys as I play the same warm up as I do every day. Today however, something feels different. I can't seem to think of anything, or anyone, besides Killian. His smile that's brighter than a thousand moons. His eyes that shine when he passionately talks about the ocean and sailing. Every single detail about him that I can recall comes to mind. That is until I hit an ear splitting note.

"Julie, is everything alright? You never mess up a scale." Miss Aubry comments stopping her pacing around my baby grand piano.

"Everything fine." I reply smoothly, and she continues her pacing.

Music has always been an escape for me ever since I was young. I've tried all different instruments, but something always beckons me back to the piano. I personally believe I have Miss Aubry to thank for that.

Miss Aubry is the only person besides Killian and Wendy to understand me. She knows I want more than a palace lifestyle. She know I want to travel. She's always been supportive of me too. Even when my mother forbade me to have friends from outside the castle, Miss Aubry would sneak Killian in to watch me during my lessons.

Just as I pull out my favorite piece of music, a knight rushes in and stands at attention next to me.

"I beg your pardon m'lady, but I have urgent news from the throne room. The castle is under threat by enemy attack. You have exactly ten minuets to pack your belongings and be in the carriage out front. A thousand pardons m'lady." The guard bows and rushes out of the room.
