"If I should stay
I would only be in your way
And so I'll go, but I know
I'll think of you each step of the way."
I Will Always Love You; Whitney Houston

-

I slowly opened my eyes, squinting because of the bright sunshine. The sky was blue without any clouds, only a sun as a big yellow glowing disk there. I could feel the heat and also a mellow grass beneath me. I could hear birds chirping, but that was the only sight of existence I could sense. I was alone, there wasn't a single soul with me. I stood up with a confused face, looking around. What is this place? Where is everybody? How did I get here? Why am I here? What happened?

"Hello, Ariana," I harshly turned around to see a blonde man in a white dress smiling at her. He was looking like an angel and I immediately remembered all the stories about God, angels, and demons my mom used to tell me. Every night, instead of fairytales, she was reading from the Bible. I used to love it as a kid, these stories were so fascinating. I knew everything about Adam, Lilith, Eve, Cain and Abel, archangels, demons, every celestial being. Even as an adult, I never stopped believing in it, despite some people telling me that I'm crazy.

As I was growing up, I wasn't that obsessed as before, one time I was even thinking about ending things with the 'Big Guy'. I knew he has a lot of people to take care of, but I couldn't understand why he never helped me. I was praying to him every day but everything was still the same, there was no progress. I was angry, I was losing faith, doubting if celestials are real. If the Bible isn't just a fiction, like any other book. At that time I decided to commit a sin, take my own life. But God sent me a guardian angel who saved me. And let me know that he sees me.

"He-hello," I stammered, eyeing the beautiful man from head to toes, „may I ask who you are? And where am I?" I asked, making the man laugh. I was just awkwardly standing there, not having guts to ask him if he's an archangel. Maybe I just passed out in the meadow and he rescued me. But he looks like archangel Michael tho. Or people picture him like this.

"I'm archangel Michael," he simply said. I opened my mouth in shock, couldn't believe that there's an actual archangel, the strongest one, standing right in front of her. Am I sure I'm not dreaming?

"No way!" I blurted out and clasped my hand over my mouth as soon as I said it. I don't know about you but no-one ever taught me how to talk with celestials. Should I bow down or something like that? "I'm sorry, I..."

"That's fine. I know this situation is a bit unusual for you. But I guess you know what happened to you..." he paused and I slowly nodded my head. Sánchez kidnapped me, tortured me, shot me.

"Am I dead?" I asked carefully. The only thing I remember is an ambulance car, both Charles and Sergio sitting next to me, holding my hands. Then it's only darkness and now the meadow.
