Katuth was the absent guildmaster from the second guild, which was called "Enaban".
This guild was based entirely on fire-related things.
Now most people thought guildmasters could only be male, but the Law of the Guilds did not restrict guildmasters to be only male.
Katuth was the first female guildmaster in Azerma, as Kavod had heard from the guards at the gates of Enaban.
The guild residence had a temperature that was kept at the exact same temperature every day of the year: 80 degrees Farenheit.
The guild's temperature was maintained by a small fire elf, Nafi, who stoked the flames of the Great Fire Pit, located in the center of the floor.
As Kavod walked into the guild's hearth, he felt like going to an ice-based guild to cool down. He was sweating with heat while examining the contents of the building.
Like the interior of Aquais, the previous guild Kavod visited, Enaban's building had a large table for dining and conference.
Kavod noticed the kitchen was to the left of the table and that it was a fairly large kitchen, too.
"May I go into the kitchen?" Kavod asked a nearby guard, who was wearing a crimson set of armor, with white boots. He was holding a tall, sharpened spear in his right hand.
"State your reason, visitor," the guard replied, as professionally as he could.
The elf felt tiny compared to this large, bulky guard of Enaban, but he managed to squeak out his reason: "I wanted to know why the kitchen is so big."
The guard glanced at the kitchen and, after a while, back to Kavod. He nodded his head and watched as Kavod walked to the kitchen.
When Kavod arrived to the kitchen, he creaked open one of the doors. Once he could see what was in the kitchen, he froze and dropped his jaw.
The kitchen's whole back wall was a giant stack of ovens. Each small cooking oven created a triangle, making it seem as if all the ovens made a big triangle oven.
Kavod rubbed his eyes with his hands and looked again. Yep, there it was. A big group of ovens. He couldn't believe the amount of physical strength that went into putting all of the ovens on top of each other.
Yet, Kavod remembered the brawny guard staring at him in front of the table earlier. The guards seemed to be of a different species, but which species was it?
Kavod finally blinked and looked away from the oven to see many cabinets lining the two front walls of the room.
The cabinets were labeled accordingly, from the right: "Hot Drinks", "'Good'" Foods, "Straws", and "Red Hots".
Good foods? Kavod wondered what that meant, so he opened the cabinet as quietly as he could.
The items inside were definitely not good. Rotten dragon meat, spoiled rat eggs, and lizard eyeballs were all contained in the cabinet.
The disgusted elf tried his hardest not to vomit inside the cabinet.
"WHAT ARE YOU DOING INSIDE THAT CABINET, MUDDY ELF?!" a loud voice boomed through the kitchen, reviving Kavod from his sick feeling.
Kavod whirled around to look at the creature that stood before him. It was the guard from earlier, as he silently predicted, but he didn't really observe the guard carefully when he arrived.
As the elf thought before, the guards in the City of Azerma were not a normal species he'd seen around the Land of the Branches or even the Land of the Elves; they were oddly different.
As he remembered seeing the guards of Aquais, he noticed that they were actually water gnomes.
This fact explained their short height, blueish-greenish skin tone, and white eyes. But the guards in Enaban were of a much more distinct race.
The guards of Enaban were Devil Giants, capable of crushing many elves as easily as they lifted the ovens onto each other.
Their skin was black and camouflaged them, their eyes were red, but worsened their eyesight, and their ears were big, but alerted them almost instantly of any nearby sound.
Kavod knew he was no match for a Devil Giant if he was engaged in a battle with one.
"I said, WHAT ARE YOU DOING INSIDE THAT CABINET?" the Devil Giant yelled at him again.
Kavod inched towards the exit as it was only a few feet away.
The bad thing was that the Giant currently had the exit blocked with his spear. Kavod gulped, his mind racing with escape plans as he looked up at the massive figure ahead of him.
"You were looking for trouble, muddy elf!" the Devil Giant's voice resonated in the room. He took one step towards Kavod, taking his spear in both hands and pointing it at Kavod.
"W-well you see, I just wanted to see what foods you h-had in the c-cabinets," Kavod answered innocently, backing up slowly.
The Giant didn't seem to approve of elves exploring the kitchen cabinets for some reason.
But what reason? Kavod thought to himself. Did something occur in the past to cause the Devil Giant to hate elves that just wanted to look at food?
Kavod was in the middle of pondering this when suddenly, the Giant swung his spear like a club at him. He missed Kavod's head by a few inches due to his impaired eyesight.
Well, at least they still have their "Giant Stupidity", Kavod noted in his mind with amusement at the Giant's clumsy use of his spear.
The Devil Giant roared with anger at his lame swing, stomping his large foot on the red brick floor.
While the Giant did this, Kavod searched his person...or is it elf?
Anyways, Kavod tried looking for any weapon he could use, but it was to no avail.
The elf was in desperate need of a weapon and almost got struck by the baking peel that the Giant had found by the ovens.
Luckily for Kavod, the Giant was blinded by his horrible eyesight, so he wouldn't be able to attack accurately.
Once Kavod saw the baking peel, he realized that he could take the Giant's spear and attack. So Kavod did just that.
He was able to escape the guild and fly away on his dragon, Slayer Clawbrood. Then they headed to the next guild.
