Adopted???
What I am adopted this has to be a joke right?
I took my birth certificate with me up to my room and got changed into my pjs and washed off my make up and crawled into bed while all the thoughts where flowing through my brain.

I woke up the next morning to my usual morning beating.
It was a Tuesday but our school was off all weak.
I got washed and dressed and grabbed my brown bag and put my birth certificate into it and headed down stairs.

" hey mom?" I ask
" what Lexie!!" she huffs
" I have a question?" I say trying to act brave
"Well" she says and stopped buttering her toast
" why is my last name Grier and yours ,dads and Jordan's last name is freeman?" I asked

She froze for a second.

" why do you ask " she spat
" because I....i ...um I just wanna know " I say as careless as I could

" well don't ask me that again do you hear me !!" She screamed in my face then grabbed the palm of my hand and dragged the knife across it
" ahhhhh" I screamed in pain

" did you hear me !!" She yelled
" yes!!yes I did please that really hurts" I cried

She then let me go throwing me to the ground .
I ran upstairs to my room and grabbed some cloths I had and some toiletries and stuff and put it all into my bag.
I didn't bother packing any food as I don't eat that much anyway.
My mom never fed me much just really small portions.

I grabbed my wallet and took out the 5 dollars that's all I had and put it in my bag.
I then grabbed my jacket put it on and climbed out my bedroom window and then climbed down the tree.

And started running as far away from my house as I could.

I came to a bus stop and waited I was planning to get the bus to hollies I wasn't going to tell her I ran away I was just going to stay there all day then leave later on.

I wanted her to help me find out who Elizabeth and Chad Are ?

I arrived at her house and knocked on the door her mom answered.
" aw hello Lexie darling I haven't seen you in so long " she says hugging me
I wonder if this is what I feels like to have a loving mother?

Hollies mom was a very kind and funny lady she had big ginger curls and bright blue eyes and always wore a red apron.

" hello miss green is Hollie there ?" I ask her
" yes pet she is upstairs in her room go on up" she tells me
" okay thanks " I say heading in
" oh and please call me Debby " she says
"Okay um Debby" is say awkwardly and head up to hollies room

I knocked on her door Hollie opened the door then and jumped on me.
" Lexie!!" She yells
" wow I am gonna fall over " I say laughing hugging her back
" what are you doing here ?" She asks
" oh um you know I was passing and thorough and thought I would drop in And I also need you to do something for me" I say

" sure how can I help ?" She asks

Hollie was a total computer geek she new what she was doing so I could trust her on this .

" okay u promise you won't tell anyone what I am about to tell you ?" I ask
" I swear on my dads grave " she says and puts a hand on her heart and one pointing upwards

I almost forgot she lost her dad he died when she was 5 during a car crash.
" okay I think I am adopted" I say taking a seat on hollies bed while she sits at her computer desk.

" oh my ! how do you know?" She asks me
" well look at this " I say going through my bag and getting the birth certificate and handing it to her

" Elizabeth and Chad Grier who are they ?" She asks
" well that's what I need you to find out " I say
She then starts taping something in on Google
" okay here we are " she says

" it says here that Chad Grier is the father of that boy Nash and Elizabeth is his mother they are divorced and Elizabeth is Now remarried and she has four children witch is will , Nash, Hayes and skylynn " she tells me

" well there can be other chads and Elizabeth's right? " I say
" right but that's such a coincidence isn't it ?" She asks
" yeah it is " I say

" how can we find my real parents?" I ask
" okay I got it Nash Grier's birthday is exactly the same day as yours and you are both the same age right ?" She asks
" right " I replied
" well we should start with them and work are way through all the Grier family's that have a chad or Elizabeth It doesn't matter how long it takes we will find them Lexie I promise "She tells me

" okay we shall give it a go" I say
" but how am I to contact them I can't just be like oh hey you ! are you my real family?" I say putting on a silly voice

" I no look we could go to a magcon event ?"she says
" um are you insane where am I going to get all that money for that then there's the hotel then the flight and all that " I say panicking a little
" your mom and dad " she says

" I can't " I say
" why not ?" She asks
" okay I guess it's time I should tell you " I say
" your scaring me now" she says
" my parents have been beating me " I say and put my head down
" wait what !!!" She says shocked

I then started to tell her all about it since I was younger till now some of the things they did to me and I showed her my arms and told her I self harmed.

Tears fall down her cheeks .

" why haven't you told any one ?" She asks
" I don't want to if they find out I did they would just beat me harder " I say
" please don't tell anyone and I have ran away and I can't go back to school I get beaten by Harriet also" I say

" then stay here I won't tell my mom any of this I will just say your staying a while" she says

" thank you " I say and hug her
" oh and Lexie ?" She says
" yeah ?" I ask
" I will pay for your magcon trip the flights the hotel all of it I promise " she says
" what no where would you get all that money for me and you ?" I ask

"I got a lot of money from my dad when he past I can offored it oh and here" she says going into her cupboard and getting a small box out and handing it to me

" what's this " I say with a smile
" for you " she says and pats my hand
I open it to reveal an iPhone 6.
" oh my gosh Hollie you didn't " I say
" oh but I did I was saving it for Christmas but here you go " she says laughing

" oh my I love you your such a good friend thank you so much !!" I squeal hugging her
My first phone finally.

" okay I will book our trips now after I go ask my mom about it be back in a second " she says rushing down the stairs

Moments later she came back up with a sad expression on her face.
"Aw did she say no?" I say

Soon that frown turned upside down and she had a big grin.
" no she said yes" Hollie laughs and jumps on her computer seat to book our flights and stuff
I really hope that I find my real family soon .....
