I hate middle school. Too much drama. People make such a big deal about it. Why?! It's just school! You've been doing this for six years already! Why now start to freak out cause you didn't shower one out of the now seven days you shower?!
Not only that, but they judge you on EVERYTHING. Your hair, clothes, even your name. That's another reason why I hate middle school. I'm named after a boy! Doesn't help that I don't like makeup either.
School starts tomorrow , so I'll just savour these last few moments before I lose all I have. But, things might change.
Apparently, a new girl is coming to my school. Another person to make fun of me and my name.
But.. Maybe things will be different. Maybe, she won't believe those rumours. Maybe she'll actually like me. Maybe, she'll be my friend.
My name is Carter Thompson. I am 12 years old and tomorrow, I start a new chapter in my life.

I wake up to Blank Space playing. The worst day of my life soon to begin. First, I jump in the shower, where moms used tampon is lying on the floor. I try not to step on it, or even come in contact with it for that matter. After, I dig through my closet looking for the least tomboyish thing I can imagine. I end up choosing a grey t-shirt, and black shorts, which are the only things I can stand that don't make me look like a guy.
I run downstairs to see my mom making a breakfast smoothie (because God forbid I have actual breakfast) and hands it to me.
It's actually pretty good, so it dosent matter. "Alright! I packed you a lunch, and, come home at around 5. Your father is coming home early and leaving early" she says.
"Better go! Take your lunch and bag" she says. "Bye mom" I say, kissing her goodbye.
When the bus arrives, I actually tear up a bit. Not because of Allergies or something, but because this year will be the worst year ever.
