He was there again. Every day at lunch break, you would see Midorya, a boy in your class, sitting under the same tree. On the same bench. He ate his lunch alone and quietly as the other kids were either running around or sitting and chatting with their friends. He didn't notice you watching as he was so engrossed in scribbling in his notebook, pausing occasionally to take a bite out of his lunch.

You continued to stare at him, dazed as you slowly chewed your rice.

"(Y/N)? Earth to (Y/N)!" Amai waved her hand in front of your face.

"How long are you gonna stare at the guy for?" Ame teased.

"Go talk to him already~" Amai nudged you with her elbow and grinned at you.

"I-I wasn't staring at anyone!" You quickly denied the accusation, "I was just spacing out."

"Ah, I finally thought our (Y/N) found someone that she liked," Amai signed and placed the back of her hand on her forehead dramatically.

Amai chuckled at Ame while you rolled your eyes.

"What about you?" You looked at Ame, "It's not like you have your eyes set on anyone."

"Me?" Ame jabbed her thumb at her chest, "There's this cute guy in the other class," She rested her chin in her hands, deep in thought.

"The blonde guy with the scary eyes?" Amai asked, "I heard he's a huge douche."

"Oh, Katsuki Bakugo? He's a second-year too. I've heard some classmates of mine talk about him!" You gaped at her in disbelief. "Nu-uh! I'm not having a friend of mine fall for that spikey haired gremlin."

"Pfft. Gremlin," Amai snorted.

"What about the green-haired boy that (Y/N) keeps gawking at?" Ame looked over to you.

"I told you, I wasn't gawking," You huffed.

"He's kinda plain-looking," Amai pondered, "He seems like a nice guy though. Too bad no one speaks to him."

"(Y/N), since you're in his class, why don't you try talking to him?" Ame suggested.

"Me?" You pointed at yourself, "No way, I'd probably make him feel awkward."

"If you say so," Amai shrugged.

The bell went off, signaling that the lunch break was over.

"Already?" You groaned.

"Let's meet at the gate to walk home, okay?" Amai suggested.

"Sure, bye..."

"See ya," Ame waved.

"Yeah,"

As you sat at your desk in the classroom, you continued to stare at the back of Midorya's head. Since you were sat right behind him, you could hear his soft mumbling as he was scribbling down notes from the board. As you were writing, you noticed the ink in your pen was running out.

Now you weren't sure what to do. Should you borrow a pen from someone? Who would be willing to lend you a pen?

You knew you had to ask someone for a pen.

Swallowing the lump that had build in your throat, you leaned forward and tapped Midorya on the shoulder.

"Hey, Midorya," You whispered.

He flinched at your sudden touch but turned around.

"Y-Yeah?" His voice was slightly shaky.

"Can I borrow a pen? Mine ran out," You asked.
